Why am I on JSA just because I'm with my partner? God damit like I have time to look for a job and go to the job centre every 2 weeks and go to work focused interviews every so often, but they say I'm available for work, however if I was single I woud be on IS, it doesn't not matter I look after LO all the time :S how does this work...

IS is income based so if you have a partner who works you wouldn't be entitled to it.
I assume you are on JSA contribution based which will only last for 6 months then you will get nothing.
Have you not claimed tax credits?

Thankyou for answering my question, oh I see then that makes sence why I am on JSA! My partner only works P/T contracted 9hrs PW, and he is a full time University student, so my JSA is not contribution based its income based! I claim CTC and CB, would my partner be entitled to WTC only if he works 9hrs PW?
