I live in Essex, going to Addenbrookes in Cambridge, it's only 30mins away. DH is coming with me. Trying to be positive but it's so hard after what happened before. X

laubull - hope it's just that normal type of spotting and nothing to worry about x

My scan went really well today. I'm measuring exactly according to my dates - so 6+5 and we heard a heartbeat of 130bpm :)
 
Wow ginny thats great news :) I got my betas back this morning its gone from 3709 to 13919 YEY!!!!! Scan thursday i'll be 6+4 fx i see a hb!!!!!! have you got any sickness Ginny?
 
fairly mild MS compared to my last pregnancy and it's only started a few days ago.

Looks like bad news girls....

A urine test only showed a very faint line, I was hoping this was due to diluted urine..... but because of this they wouldn't scan me, which is crazy considering my ectopic in March! Anyway they instead did an internal, the cervix is closed but I am still getting brown spotting, why then?!

Anyway just got the results from the blood test they did, HCG only 71 so looks like this isn't a viable pregnancy as it should be higher than that by now and I got 2-3 weeks on a digi last week so must be dropping :-(

The big question is, is it an ectopic or is it a miscarriage (I've not lost a lot of blood), so confused and pissed off they wouldn't scan me, it would at least answer the ectopic question.

Going back Wednesday for another blood test, hopefully that will shead more little on my situation.

So upset and frustrated, will I ever get my rainbow baby? :-(

Oh hun that really is miserable :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: I think it's COMPLETLY out of order they didn't scan you as you have had a previous ectopic!!!! How stupid!!!!

Is there really no hope? could levels be rising slowly....have u got another digi you could do with concentrated urine to compare? I'm really really hope this isn't another ectopic hun that would be so unlucky and miserable. If you get any pain you must go to a and e as you know the risks infact i think i'd be temped to go anyway and say i had pain and bleeding as they will scan you to check for ectopic with your history ( i'm speaking as an ex a & e nurse!) I'm so so so so so sorry this isn't the answer you wanted.

You will get your rainbow baby hun and they will be all the more precious to you. Please don't dispare and please keep in touch. You know now that you can get pg which is great if this is another ectopic perhaps they need to look at why??

I can't believe there's any hope, apprently CB digi's to get 2-3 weeks your HCG needs to be 200+, to now be 71 can't be a good thing.

I did think about lying about the pain so they'd scan me but thought I should trust their judgement. I am obviously going to monitor the bleeding and pain. Just hope I get my answers on Wednesday.

Don't worry I am not going anywhere, like SilverWillow I will keep adrift of scan results, good luck for Thursday and congrats to Ginny, I am pleased it went well :)

Oh if this is another ectopic I will DEMAND an HSG where they insert dye into your tubes to check for blockages.

Laubull - so sorry that things aren't looking good :(

I woke up to pink/beige discharge this morning :( Feeling so annoyed with myself that I was happy after yesterday's scan. I'm going to see what happens today to see if it stops or gets worse
 
Thanks Ginny. Try not to panic, the fact you've seen a heartbeat is really good news so the chances of something happening are reduced. Keep an eye on the amount and colour of blood and if you're worried call the doctors/midwives or early pregnancy unit.

AFM everything is in full swing now, I just hope everything passes quickly. I'm off work at the moment but not sure where I should go back?

Ginny pehaps your cervix is just a bit irritated from the scan? Fx everything is ok! Keep us posted x
 
The scan was external, so don't think that could affect things? She did press down quite hard though!

Anyway, it seems a bit light tonight, so I'm praying it's gone by tomorrow!!

Oh Laubull i'm so very sorry!!! I guess the only positive is that you havent had to wait weeks and weeks for bean to pass or have to have a d&c. You should be able to get trying really soon. (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))

Nimbec, that's the good news if it is a miscarriage, we can try again without having to worry about methotrexate or waiting for 3 months.

Off to the hospital tomorrow morning, should be interesting to see what they say.

Nimbec how are you feeling? Not long till your scan!

Hi girls I have been out all day and just came on to check the minute I got in and I saw your angel Laubull and my heart sank, I am so sad for you you didn't deserve this hun after your ectopic :cry: sending lots and lots of :hugs: to you! Don't be disheartened you will get your rainbow! But I would really insist they do something to check if it was ectopic like you say in case there is a blockage, I really hope not. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Ginny I hope that your spotting is nothing, after the scan everything sounds fine so hopefully it is nothing to worry about. x

I'm feeling ok thanks Nimbec. My bleeding is getting much lighter now and seems to be stopping so looking forward to trying again soon, who knows we might get lucky in a couple of weeks, it seems you are really fertile after miscarrying :winkwink:

I'm glad both of you are holding up so well considering it's such a hard thing to go through. I was such a mess after my miscarriage, it's not a nice experience :(

My spotting at stopped today, I'm going to see what happens over the next couple of days and then I might call in to see my doctor.

SilverWillow, thank you :) I'm sorry we're going through this but glad we're together. I've read about being really fertile after too so I've started charting already, positivity! I am also going to investigate baby aspirin:

Is it too good to be true though? I have a family history of blood clots, they put my first pregnancy (before it ended ectopic) as higher risk because of it so I have a good reason to discuss it with my doctors.

Off to the hospital soon for more bloods, yea?!

Laubul i like the positivity!! Yes definately talk to docs about it could you ask to be referrred to a specialist they could then monitor your follies and also do some other tests such as amh and poss hsg to check your tubes?? I think you need to get pushy with them. Also i booked to see a specialist privately to get the ball rolling then he reffered me to himself on nhs and it only took a couple of months but in the mean time i had all the cheap investigations done. Just a thought for you hun.

SilverWillow, how are you? Has the bleeding stopped?

I got my beta results, down to 24 now from 71. Hospital say it is a miscarriage but Im going back again tomorrow for what I hope will be a final test! Then it'll just be counting down to O day and trying to catch that egg first time round!

I've also got a doctors appointed booked for next Thursday so I hope they'll be able to help, although I won't get my hopes up, they certainly won't refer me after only one ectopic and one miscarriage, but they might agree on aspirin though.

My bleeding is also slowing up which is a relief, I'll be glad when I can throw the pads away, now I know why I normally wear tampons!
