Franchie, I don't think DH likes to "take care" of himself. Unless he does it in the morning after I left before leaving for work :). He doesn't even watch porn or own a playboy magazine. Well..he did when he was younger but not anymore. I don't mind if he does. It doesn't bother me at all. And it also doesn't bother me if he "takes care" of himself. Less work for me! ahhahaha. 5k is a good distance!! pheww...

Slowris, I usually O on CD 16 also! O feels so long when everyone else's is on CD 12 - 14 :p. It looks like you'll O soon!! FX for this cycle! :D

Kat, I actually don't blame the guys for being gung ho. I think it's their pride talking loudly :p. Little do they realized that it's not them. Plus, assisted conception is not cheap. We definitely have been tightening our belts for the past few months. Luckily, he has good insurance :).

Cheeky, hopefully the witch stays away and you'll have a BFP!

Twinkie, it looks like you and Slowris have the same O schedule :D. 3 more days! Are you going to test early this cycle or wait?

Hey ladies!

FX for everyone who is O or getting ready to O. Sending you lots of :dust:

HSG went very quickly. ILT, thank you for the ibuprofen recommendation. I'm pretty sure it helped. I'm not cramping much now and during the procedure, it was bare able.

Got good new. Tubes are clear (or if they were blocked like my mom's, they're 100% clear now. Left ovary was not visible, which RE said could point to a follicle developing.

Although conception is not extremely likely once again, he said he's seen men with lower counts than DH father children. So gonna BD this cycle. REs nurse actually recommended not the day of +opk, but the 3 days following. So we'll try that.

Started opk yesterday and got the expect neg. Not temping this cycle. Just gonna relax and enjoy the :sex:
 
N. Miller, good to hear that everything went well!! So did the RE recommend any solution? IUI? or something? I think there is nothing wrong to keep BDing and trying. Who knows right? Our bodies are so strange at times and changes all the time. So, you never know :). FX N. Miller!

Lol didn't want to post my negativity here. But truth be told, I don't think this one is going to work out either. Just a feeling. Hopping along until I know for sure. It might just be my fear talking, but I'm preparing myself for another loss.

I might actually start to believe it and be positive if I have a good scan later. For now I'm just trying to pretend it's not happening. Recurrent loss changes the way you feel and think about pregnancy.
 
Confuzion, :hugs:. I'll keep sending positive thoughts your way. A coworker of mine is in a similar situation and hasn't let herself relax and she's about 12-13 weeks.

ILT - since I don't have fertility coverage yet, we're gonna keep trying naturally for now. DH may start taking fertile aid vitamins to help his count, and he sees a urologist on 6/30. The meds I'm on will help my egg quality and increase chance of ovulation. So aside from meds were going to continue naturally for the rest of the year.

In January I can go on DH insurance if necessary and we'll try IUI then.
 
Confuzion, I am sorry you are feeling down. Will another blood test gives you a little peace of mind knowing that the little one is growing just fine? I am not sure how your insurance work but I'd go for another blood test. Or maybe you can talk to your midwife to see if she can do something to assure you? I understand it's hard to be excited based on your past experiences. One day at a time my friend. It's almost end of the day on your side of the US (I think) :D.
 
N.Miller. Sounds like a good plan! Hopefully, you won't need any assisted conception method :D. 6 more months to go :D

Actually in Denmark I believe that it's pretty much free here if it's your first child:) I don't remember how many tries you get but the state pays for the vast majority of the price so it's not so bad. I think you have to pay for any meds but the state helps out so the cost is kept way down. Infertility is considered a disease here and the state wants people to have kids so they help people to pay for it:happydance:

I just think DH would prefer if we could avoid the whole thing and conceive naturally:thumbup: As our GP says, it's more pleasant to conceive naturally that go through assisted conception.

Awww I really hope your pregnancy sticks confuzion:( But I understand where you're coming from. I know when I get my BFP I'll be nervous the first 3 months and I've only experienced 1 chemical:wacko: Sending you some sticky dust and hoping this one is it for you:dust:
 
First, nmiller Im not sure what any of that means but I am very glad it is good news! I really feel dumb/embarassed sometimes because Im so ignorant when it comes to all the technical terms in ttc. But yay good news!!

Confuzion...I understand if you dont want to talk about it but dont feel like you have to bottle up your emotions/worries for our benefit! We are here to support you no matter what! I really feel bad that you are having negative vibes. Do you think it could be your way of protecting yourself after everything you have been through in the past? I think maybe you are just a little hesitant (completely understandable) to let yourself relax and get excited because you are afraid of the past repeating itself. Im not sure what the answer is here and Im sure this ramble isnt very helpful but I just want you to know we are here to listen if you want to talk about it :) I really am sorry to hear about your recurrent losses, somehow I missed that and it really just breaks my heart. I cant even imagine how you must feel. It has been 2 yrs since my m/c and it still bothers me to this day. I am sure I will definitely have mixed feelings if I ever get another BFP. Anyway, I am sending positive vibes and virtual hugs your way!
 
Macy, don't feel dumb! I didn't even know what HSG meant until I had to do it :D. Just an FYI, it's a procedure where they inject dye into your uterus to see if there are any issues (blocked tubes, abnormal tubes, abnormal uterus, etc). Blocked tubes appear to be the most common issue for infertility. But some women just needs their tubes "clean up", then they can get pregnant easily.

ILT - I was planning on doing another blood test. But it was causing me a lot of anxiety. Practically having panic attacks before even having it. I decided I'm better off not getting it. I've felt less anxious since making the decision so I think it's the right one. I have an appointment with a recurrent pregnancy loss specialist on July 1st and we'll see if he has any suggestions that might relieve some of my anxiety.

macy - definitely think I'm trying to protect myself from more disappointment. I appreciate the positive vibes and hugs.
 
:thumbup: Thanks Tomatoes that is great to know. I am alway looking to learn new things! I hope this isnt a rude question, but does anyone know how long you should be TTC before you see your doctor? I know a lot of people wait patiently for much, much longer than me so I really hope this doesnt come off as whiny or irritating but I am wondering if I should be concerned. They warn you before a D&C of all the stuff that can go wrong (basically they just rattle it off like one of those commercials for one of those meds where there are like a billion side effects :wacko: ). Seeing as I didnt have any other choice but to have the D&C I didnt pay much mind to it because the doctor was very reassuring but now Im all like :dohh:
 
Macy - don't feel dumb. The only reason people know about these things is because they go through them. I knew a bit more about the HSG because my mom had one.

Most people say about 1 yr if you're under 35, and 6 min if over 35. I just turned 28 and I did 9 mon before seeing the RE, an 6 min before talking to my OB. But I felt something wasn't right with my cycles. You have to do what is right for you. There aren't any rules that say you can't see a doc if you're concerned. We all want to be parents. No one here would begrudge you if you went earlier than they did.

Thanks Tomatoes. We have been trying since the beginning of this year. I think I am afraid of what they will say. I have been very irresponsible and....well I havent been getting that horrible thing done that you are supposed to have done every year. I cant think of the name...you know the one. That awful thing where they prod you with the giant cold metal thingy. I had that done SO many times during the pregnancy/m/c/d&c/post d&c....gah I just hate that and it is SO awkward... :argh:

macy- i think it differs depending on where you are located. Here they won't do anything until you have been trying for at least a year sometimes more. However if you have a feeling something isn't right I would def go see your ob!
 
Macy, if you don't me asking, how old are you? Did you TTC prior to the beginning of this year? Pap smear!! Ugh!! I hate those. The pap itself usually wasn't so bad but the speculum killed me all the time!
 
would be nice if they warmed that thing up a bit! lol
