Thank you Lili, it is going great, she wakes up every 3 hrs for it but otherwise she just sleeps and never cries, I can't believe how easy everything is this time round:)

How is Layla, can't believe she is already 1 month old :)

Can you pop me on the list too :) Marshall June 15th. Had Midwife last tuesday, when Marshall was a week old, and he's put on 4 1/2 oz! Very proud of him :) xx
 
E&L: congrats on the weight gain :)

Ben was weighed again yesterday, he's put on 100g since monday, still not quite at birth weight yet but should be next week :) We have now been discharged from midwife as they are happy with the consistant weight gain.

Also we had an appointment on wednesday for them to check on Ben's heart, they did an ECG (poor thing with all those wires again!) and it showed the heart rhythm is still fine. We now have to go back in August for the next check but they don't expect there to be any further probs.

hey all :) only just noticed this thread was here :) i haven't been on since i made my birth announcement, everything has just all been so up in the air and time is just flying by already! My little girl was born a week over due on June 14th at 9:06pm weighing 6lbs10 :) we called her Evie Louise and she is a little stunner :) x

Hello! Just popped on to announce the birth of our baby boy, Rupert on 24th June, weighing 6lb 4. Congrats to all the other June mummies, I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am - despite the lack of sleep and constant breastfeeding! :)

we are doing fine, still breastfeeding, will get weighed tomorrow, so hope she put on enough weight!

OMFG.. It's too hot I can't sleep! I would hate to be pregnant in this weather! It's messing up the babies sleep too, since it's been so hot she doesn't settle as well at night. The slumber bear we have is amazing though, when it plays the sound of the heartbeat in the womb she falls asleep right away :happydance: It's the best invention ever!

Linn glad BF is going well, hope she is a good weight, I'll get Layla done tomorrow I think, I reckon she's about 9lbs now my little chunk.. She's grown so much and she has learnt to smile so she doesn't stop doing it constantly now! It feels like my heart will explode when she smiles at me lol.

What do you all think of your health visitor? Mines coming again tomorrow.. She's ancient, I wish she'd leave us alone, I really hate sitting in the house waiting for her to turn up!

Got my 6 week postnatal check this week and I've finally stopped bleeding.. It's a miracle I thought I'd have to wear those mattresses forever! I will get the pill off the Dr I think and take it religiously cos I'm terrified of getting pregnant again :lol: :lol:

Then laylas got her 8 week check and needles.. Eeek, I'm dreading that. I also got an appointment to go back to hospital so they can scan her hips because she was born breech. Nervous about that and hope they will be okay, I know it's just routine, but she was breech my entire pregnancy :nope:

How is everyone else doing, this thread has gone quiet, is the lack of sleep catching up with you all :haha: xxxxxx
 
Hi all! I have a few moments while she's asleep so will check in properly here!

For the front, Eva was born 21st June :)

This week has gone sooo fast, I can't really believe it! DH has gone back to work today so this is first day on our own but the morning has gone ok so far. I have MW coming this afternoon to do heel prick test and also the little angel's breastfeeding lady coming to check on me as well.

BF going well though I think, she tends to feed quickly, only 5-10 mins at a time so going to ask about that today but she's filling nappies like a trooper so I'm not too worried. Plus the nipple pain is getting better which is always a bonus!!

Lili - can't believe it's been 6 weeks! That's flown by and you sound like a pro!

Right, time for some breakfast now!! Hope everyone's going good :)
 
Lili I feel like I didn't sleep all night, E couldnt settle at all she kept waking up every half an hour or so.... nightmare! It is just soooo hot, I hate it!!! I really hope she will sleep tonight, I don't think she was hungry or in pain.. she didn't cry just kept waking and fussing.... aaaaaahhhhhh! What bear is that Lili? I want one too!!!

Wow Lili Layla is already 9lb? E was 7lbs 4oz 10 days ago so I guess she has to be just under 8lbs.. hope she put on enough!

Awww for the smiling E has just started to do it sometimes but not so often yet, DD1 was already smiling at me at 2 weeks but I know that's early!!

OH has gone to work now, I feel like crying.. wish I could switch off this heat.. make both kids go to sleep and then sleep some myself.

Littlepne good she is filling her nappies, I keep worrying about that cause health visitor says she needs to poo at least 3 times a day, until last thursday she pooed 4-5 times a day and now only once or twice?? Aaaaahh what I can worry about, her poo is not green though... she doesn't feed for long either but often and has maaaany wet nappies so I hope all is well, I guess I will know more later.
 
forgot to say Lili my HV seems ok, she came once and will come once more and then that's it.. I will go see them if I want! Oh and I am petrified of getting pregnant again!!!
 
Congratulations littlepne!! The lady in the next bed to me in hospital called her little girl Eva.. it's a lovely name!

I think as long as they are having lots of wet nappies you can assume everything is going well and they are getting enough milk. Layla poos once a day but are BF babies meant to go more often? I don't know.. but having to poo 3 times a day seems a lot? I'm sure you would know if anything was wrong!

Linn that's what Layla has been like... just unsettled through the night. Her nappy is clean, she doesn't want feeding, hasn't got wind.. so I can only assume it's the heat cos shes never been like that before. I'm hoping it cools down soon, cos my hayfever is taking the piss as well!

Yeah Linn I reckon about 9lbs now, she seems to be doing about 1lbs every 2 weeks, and she was 8lbs 2 weeks ago so I'm just guessing 9lbs now?

My OH is back to working lots more now too, but I've only got one baby to look after so it will be easier. You will get the hang of it though Linn. I bet you are doing fab already!

Hmmm maybe tomorrow will be the last day the HV comes then, hope so! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My Mum and Dad left on Friday night and my sister arrived Friday Lunch.............she left Yesterday and OH is at work for a few hours!!!

Seems very quiet around here!:cry:

How is everyone and their beautiful new babies?? Jake was 1 week yesterday............I wish time would slow down!!! He is a little angel, feeds every 3 hours in the day and wakes once at night time around 3am for a feed.
BF is going soooooooooo well, i am a bit scared of the 2 week growth spurt that happens around 2 weeks, but i know it only lasts a day, and am sure my boobs will cope xxxx

Jake was weighed on day 3 and went from 8lb 3oz to 8lb 1oz................then was weighed on day 5 and was 8lb 2oz...............I must have super full fat milk :happydance::happydance:

Am not that :sleep: at the moment, but then again with my other 2 girls, i don't get much time to think about it!

I have missed you all sooooooooooooooo much xxxxx

I really don't know what's wrong with my baby. she finally fell asleep at 12.30 only to wake again 30 mins later :shrug: I really don't understand why she isn't sleeping, she should be shattered.

Emma you are lucky, although in her first week E was the same. Maybe another growth spurt at 3 weeks? Which is why she is awake so much? I feel so bad, poor dd1 just has to wait wait wait!! Just feeding E again and then off to the childrens centre. Praying she will fall asleep in her pram, would like to play with DD1 and eat something!!
 
Ok I am worried for no reason, baby weighed in at 8lbs5oz today so she gained 1lb1oz in 10 days the HV said I was doing well with the breastfeeding and that it was normal she was awake lots, that she looked very alert and happy and everything is ok, and now she just finally passed out in her bouncer so O and I will have some lunch and ice cream :)
