Hello! I have some questions. My husband and I have been married for a little over a year now and we've always talked about having children, someday. The entire time we were engaged and living together and the first year of marriage, we used two methods of birth control. I've been on the pill since I was about 12, due to an irregular cycle, except for a period of about a year when I was 18-19. I met my husband when I was 19. So, I've been on the pill since we've been together. Anyhow, in the beginning, we used condoms, then as the relationship progressed switch to the pull-out method. Well, just recently, we haven't been using the pull out method. The first time he didn't pull out was right after we'd had a fight and it was in a moment of passion and we both agreed it was okay. And well, we both enjoy it, so we haven't used the pull out method since. This was about 3 weeks ago when it started becoming a regular thing, everytime we have sex. Well, just this last week, I've been wondering, even though I'm on the pill, could I be pregnant? The reason I am curious is because shortly after we started this new thing, I had some light brownish colored discharge, which I thought was strange, but recently found out about implantation bleeding. Also, every woman in my family is extremely fertile. I don't know if that runs in families or not. My mother has five children, including me and just recently had her fifth, which is odd, but, anyhow, she told me that she got pregnant on the pill and the sponge. I'm not even sure what the sponge is. Anyhow, I haven't had any other symptoms of pregnancy. I have had some minor cramping, here and there, always right around my left ovary. But, since I've had an irregular cycle my whole life, I've never really thought anything of unusual cramps or spotting. Anyhow, the reason I am asking you folks is because it's impossible to reach my doctor and I don't want to take a home pregnancy test until I miss a period. My period is due Dec. 6th. It usually comes the Wednesday or Thursday after I stop my pills for the week. But, I'm a little anxious. I don't really want to wait. Is this a little premature? Should I even be thinking about this before my period?

Falling pregnant on the pill is possible - few girls on the forum who have fallen whist on the pill or other methods.

Your doctor wouldn't be able to help at this point anyway - a test is the only way just as I say it is possible.

Wlecome to BabyandBump I hope you get the result you are wishing for.

:D
