Hello,

I have just stopped BF-ing my 5 month old and moved onto FF.

My question is to you ladies, is what do you do when your baby wakes up in the night and is hungry?

Joseph is having his 5 bottles a day of 210ml/7oz as per the instructions on the formula box, but he still keeps waking at 5am.

I tried just settling him, but it became apparent he was hungry! So i have him 90ml/3oz of formula.

I am worried about him having too much formula - should I try and give him boiled cool water instead?

What do you do?

Thanks for any advice given.

Feed her lol. So he wasn't waking up to bf at 5 then? You're not giving him too much, if he's waking up because he's truly hungry then there's no reason not to feed him.

^wss

You cant over feed them, if he didnt want or need it he either wouldnt take it or would vomit it back.

My lo has been ff since 6 weeks and has always taken more than the guideline on the box. He's consistently been 91st centile for weight and height so needs a lot of milk! Don't worry about feeding baby if they're hungry x

If your LO is hungry, feed them. Don't worry about over-feeding.. He won't hesitate to overflow if he's had too much! :haha:
