I was playing with my twins with their Chicco walker. It has balls and shapes to slot through holes, and I've always thought the balls looked a bit small, but my logical mind said it a toy for 9 month + so it has to be safe. However, in a split second on of my boys stuck a ball nearly in his mouth. I really panicked and kind of pushed his cheeks and it came out, but I basically nearly died on the spot. I took the toy away in horror, and even the bigger balls from their ball park. On top one of their presents for their birthday next month is ball poppin machine :dohh:

Wow, I don't blame you! I'd be emailing Chicco! X

I did, and they replied. They were quite nice, and said all their toys passed the necessary controls, but that they were passing my email on. Hopefully it won't happen to another child, certainly not to mine again, that toy is banned!

Did he choke or just stick it in his mouth. Babies are prone to putting things in their mouth.

On a side note DS has suddenly started again and swallowing he has recently swallowed 2 beads, a small plastic biscuit and a small ice cream (all very tiny and all went straight through). Children really do make you anxious!

He didn't choke, it was much too big to swallow. However if it had gone further in his mouth I am not sure I would have been able to get it out :nope: I am baffled he could have got it in

We had that and my son did it too, he can also fit a wooden one from a music toy in his mouth. He has only done it twice but I did brick it and of course he thought my panic was a great game, the bath plug is a firm favourite just now

My first wasn't big on shoving things in her mouth, but I can see my second is more so. I'm going to have to worry about that sort of thing with this one much more!
