I know this is going to probably sound really petty and silly to some people, but I just had to share this...
One of my friends thought it would be a funny April Fools joke to send a mass email to her friends and family that she was pregnant again.... I was included in this email.... now I know she would never do anything to deliberately upset me, but its little things like this that remind me that most of my friends just don't "get" infertility.... I mean hell its hard enough on me when I find out people are actually pregnant, I don't need to get emails like this!

I hope she didn't know you have been trying. My friends don't know so wouldn't know that that would upset me but if she knew that's a little harsh!

See thats the thing - she DOES know about all my fertility problems and how long we have been trying, and could have easily not included me in the email... I have seen a couple of people post it on Facebook, but that does not bother me as much. This bothered me b/c even if she sent it to her whole address book, she still had to click my name, and maybe should have realized it was insensitive to send it to me.

Some people just dont get it, unless your going through fertility problems or have been through it people just dont understand, they think we should just get on with it and not let it effect us because its not really that big a problem some people just do not understand the emotional turmoil and physical angst we go through (sorry to be ranting and raving) its bloody exhausting mentally and physically louisx

Hi Hun, that sucks. It really goes to show that you really have no understanding unless you are TTC yourself for a while.

It does make me think though that I hope that I have never inadvertedly upset someone with a thoughtless comment or question before I started TTC to myself. I realise that I too had no understanding of how difficult it is xx

Too right! Everytime someone asks me "when are you having another one" it's like a knife in the gut but then i think hang on, I probably would ask exactly the same question! This is why kids should come BEFORE marriage - once youre married people expect you to have them and that's when the poxy questions start!
