My oldest dd turned 5 2 months ago and we stopped pull ups at night 10 months ago (she'd been dry in the day since she was 2.5) in the holidays before starting school. Her pull ups were always soaking but after a week of being wet we started to have dry beds which was great, we then had 1 or 2 wet beds a week which I didn't mind at all. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago we've had a wet bed every morning for the past 2 weeks.

She doesn't have a drink after tea time which is between 5-6pm, she has a wee before getting in the bath at 7 then is in bed around 8pm and most of the time as another wee before bed. We'd rather not wake her before we go to bed as we go up around 9.30-10pm an we haven't woke her in the past & she's been dry.

Has anyone else's LO been dry and then started being wet again? I know 1 or 2 nights is kind of to be expected but not 14 nights in a row?

My youngest dd who is 3.5 has never had a wet bed, she's been dry day & night since she was 2 but she done it on her own. x

No help here - my daughter is the same age and has a heavy wet pull-up every morning. She wanted to try without a few months back but we had to change her sheets 3 times in the night for three days running and so she asked to go back to pull-ups. I was happy with that because we have never had a dry nappy in the morning so I just don't think she's ready.

Is there anything that might be upsetting her? My dd has had the same issues, will still occasionally wake her up around 10 to take her for a wee because we don't want to take the risk, she's been a lot better the last few months though but when she was younger she would have periods of dryness then out of nowhere she would wet the bed, very frustrating cycle. They sometimes stress can have an impact and I know for my dd it did, change of nursery to reception, moving house etc.

There's nothing I can think of that's upset her/changed.. I was thinking maybe going back to school after 2 weeks off but she was wet all last week too. She enjoys school so I don't think its been that. I'm hoping she'll go back to being dry herself but this is the longest she's went being wet in the past 10 months  x

Just throwing it out there but could she have worms? I read that this can cause bed wetting.

My eldest wet the bed until he was 6 years old, we tried everything we could think of and in the end it was upsetting him so much that his GP referred him to a clinic and he got some medication, within a month he was dry every morning and never had another wet bed. But they are all different my youngest was nappy free by 23 month (day and night) and I think he only ever had a wet bed once or twice and that was when he was ill.

Bed wetting is very, very common and it isnt usually classed a problem until after the age of 7, although if your child is getting very upset about it then they can be referred to a enuresis clinic.

The wet bed doesn't bother her at all

She did have worms last week and soon as she mentioned it/I seen she had them she had the medicine we had left to get rid of them.. I did wonder if this was the reason but I couldn't find anything on Google to say having worms caused bed wetting but I guess it could be but they've now gone.x

No advice. My son is nearly 6 and still needs a pull up at night. He is such a deep sleeper. We've tried multiple times this past year to see how he does without the pull up, but he wakes up having peed the bed every time we try without a pull up.

My older kids still wet the bed at ages 6 and 4! Well, the little one does too but he's not even 2 yet. Lol.

I was a bed wetter until I was about 8 years old so I'm not sweating it too much. :haha: In my opinion, there isn't really much you can do to get them to stop it. You can cut out water at a certain time(which I don't like to do... if my child is thirsty, I AM going to give them a drink) or wake them up but I don't think it makes much of a difference. It's something I believe they will just grow out of. Now,if they are peeing the bed as teenagers, I'd consider taking them to a dr. Haha!

Im pretty sure its normal! Mine dont wet the bed but my niece did it ALL the time until she was about 7/8. I also remember peeing the bed on numerous occasions, And I cant have been that young because I used to get a spare pillow and cover up the wet patch with it and just go back to sleep! 🙈🙈🙈

My son only just got out of nappies at night a few months ago. Sophie has better night dryness than he does. He didn't wet his bed last night but got up and peed all over the bedroom floor about midnight.

My brother wet his bed on occasion until he was about 12.

I peed my pants until I was 12 and wet the bed until i was in 4th grade. I outgrew it. My 9yr old and 11yr olds ( not the 8yr old for some reason) wet the bed at night. The 9yr old just outgrew it about 2 yrs ago. The 11yr old still does.

Hi, I've not been on here for around 2.5 years! Used to be active on here all the time, my son who is 5 still wears pull ups at night times, he'll be 6 in July, it's driving me mad, I've tried no pulls ups but it ends up I'm stressed he's distressed and we all end up with broken nights sleep! Apparently speaking to some local mums they won't offer any help until he's 7. I do believe he will be dry in his own time and I can't actually 'train' I'm at night time! But the older he gets the more I'm doubting this! My daughter has been dry since about 2.5 maybe 3 and she is 16 months younger than him! And she is now 4!
