Kate McCann releasing a book...

Gonçalo Amaral (who was removed from the investigation by Prime Minister Gordon Brown)

Is this true? If so, how on earth did GB have a say in this???

Oh sorry erm I watched it last night it was on the police mans documentary ill have a look x

Thank u but I meant the interview one, something about him needing air xxx

I'm also looking for this link. I have watched it once but can't find it now :dohh:
the interviewer asks them about the investigation and how they felt and gerry mccann stands up and walks out

The one thing that I can say about the book is that it can only do more good than it can harm. If it raises more money to continue searching for her and puts Maddy's face out in the public eye again that is great.

I am glad that you mum's on here are being sensitive and cautious to what you post on here concerning this case. Even if this lady (Kate) has made the biggest mistake of her life -surely people can forgive her and support her pleas to find her little girl? It is easy to get caught up in who is to blame and lose sight of what is important.

I came across an article that has a positve outlook for the book:

The article is on canidoit - Just type in Kate McCann in the search bar.

I cannot post the direct link on here.

Btw - I just noticed this:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-13365848

"It was a latter-day Grimm's fairy story", says Cassandra Jardine in the Telegraph referring to parents' fears about "tiny risks" taken by many people from "leaving children in the car while dashing to the cash point" to "nipping to the loo when they are playing in water".

Jardine goes on to say the seeming lack of sympathy has less to do with the circumstances and more to do with Kate McCann's identity. "Had Kate not been pretty, middle-class and educated, she might have received more sympathy - like, say, Karen Matthews, mother of Shannon, who wept fetchingly for the cameras the following year, although her daughter had not in fact been abducted, only hidden for mercenary reasons."

i wouldnt call her pretty or educated. Shes just as jeremy kyle as shannons mother. And i have never left my kid in a car or taken 'tiny' risks. Kate mccann didnt take one'tiny' risk in leaving her child either- she took multiple 'tiny' risks... all at once.

When a mother from a poorer background went out clubbing and left her kids a few years ago she had her kids removed and a suspended sentence handed to her.

its nothing to do with class.

No one in high authority has said anything because they all know the truth and there all freemasons also!

And for the record freemasons are just a bunch of people who like to beleive they are more important than they really are. Someone close to me very nearly joined the freemasons (due to a familial connection of mine and one of my family members is one!). Its just keeping money within money and thats all there is to it. I dont think its fair to tar the freemasons with the perverted child abuser brush.

I've been reading through this thread for the last couple of days, and it has made fascinating reading. I was always disgusted by the way they defended their neglect of their children, but having read a lot of the information posted and linked in this thread, I'm now convinced that the McCann's role was even more sinister.

There was an interview on RTE that I watched online today here.
https://www.rte.ie/player/#v=1098327
The McCann's are on from 1:16. There's one really weird thing that Kate says when talking about the window in the bedroom. (From 1:38) She's says, 'I'm not lying about that'. But she doesn't say
I'm not lying about that
she says
I'm not lying about that

So what else is she lying about? :growlmad: Maybe something and nothing, as I'm not exactly approaching the interview with positive feelings toward the couple, but still, that really stood out as dodgy to me.

Why would she need to mention lying at all, if shes not guilty of anything surely she would just say what she found, without saying 'she wasnt lying about that'.... why mention it at all unless shes sure she wants to make a point of her being 'innocent'

I agree something should have been done immediately to ALL the parents who left young kids and babies alone when they went out for dinner on that holiday. Its digusting really.

Im now thinking the whole thing was infact planned and that something more sinister was/is going on.... I just cant get my head around it at all!

as for the quote from the book, Vile. social services should be round there.

Did anyone else pick up, in the interview, that as soon as they started talking about the 'abduction' they were coughing, scratchin their ear, nose etc? I obviously could just be looking for things there...

There's something definitely very.. controlling and strange about Gerry. In every interview Kate is clinging onto him in some way. Like she needs him. And in that interview she looks incredibly thin :S He's alot better at eye contact aswell. More confidence. More confidence in talking aswell. I dunno what I'm trying to make of that but eh.

Thanks for this.

The way Kate doesn't look remotely phased by his reaction & automatically jumps to his defence by saying he's 'too hot, go and get some air' - she knows he needs to calm down. She doesn't say it in a caring way either, which to me suggests she is very used to this. I don't know, how she just sits there looking like a spare part & all vacant.....something weird.

Also telling is the person who is also speaking who is saying 'all you need to say is....stick to the official line' etc. If you are innocent with nothing to hide why exactly do you need someone there at interviews telling you what to say?

And as the reporter said, he was asking Gerry about HIS feelings....perfectly valid question. Except....I doubt Gerry has any feelings other than the urge to control. In every video I see of them Kate comes across as some meek little housewife (and before anyone says, there's absolutely nothing wron with being a housewife lol!) who hangs of his every word. I'm sorry but she's a Doctor, she's not got to that position by not being able to speak for herself or being all shy & retiring!

Hadn't read this until after I posted right after you but this is exactly what I was getting at!

I always get them impression shes in complete awe of him  I dont bloody know why  She obviously see's something that we dont!

think he's very controlling and she thinks she needs him for everything

Even in the book it was Gerry did this, Gerry spent the whole day on the phone, Gerry went to these meetings, Gerry talked to these people. Gerry's so strong, Gerry's getting on with it. Gerry Gerry Gerry. Argh.

She seems in awe of him but maybe she's actually heavily controlled by him and/or scared of him? She doesn't seem to have her own voice or opinion.
