with my son i wasnt in established labour very long, about 2 3/4 hours. i just used gas and air and had an episiotomy. he was born at 3.11am weighing 6lb 8oz.

with my daughter i was induced at 42weeks. i was in established labour for 25minutes. i just used gas and air and had 1 stitch. she was born at 2.25am weighing 7lb 7oz.

I was in labour for 4 hours and 10 minutes, only used gas and air, had shit loads of stitches, and I can honestly say the stitches were worse for me than the labour

i was 2 days over due. no signs of anything happening, then my waters broke was on gas and air to cope. total time of labour was 3hr47mins, needed loads of stitches :-/

defo agree with toria that the stitches were worse

well i was in labour for 40hours started sunday night and was only 3cm's by tuesday afternoon maddi's heart rate dropped so i ended up with a c-section. tbh i would do it again in a heart beat, she's just amazing

my labour started 4am 30th dec 07
continued through the day, came around 3/4pm, i got a 4min contraction every hour (at the time, painful lol) had a bath around 6:30, contractions started to pick up by 9pm, died off. Went bed around 12 midnight. Got about 10min sleep, woke up around 12:20am, contractions every 3-5mins. Go to hos by 1:45, check just after 2am, 4 almost 5 cm.
Then the fun started lmao!
The midwife explained to me, try not to be to brave and go it without pain relief if am in alot of pain, stubborn me, declined.
around 3 probably it got to much asked for gas&air, omg that stuff was horrible for me, i was sick like every 30mins.
probably around 5:30 i asked for pethdine, amazing stuff!! it didnt stop the pain i was in at all, i should taken it earlier!!
Got checked at 6, 8 almost 9cm, around 6:25, i felt like i didnt to push and mw didnt want check as it hadnt been very long but she did in the end, i was fully dilated, broke my waters, amber was out in 10mins. 6:47am 8lb 10oz
she was lucky to be alive, her cord had been knotted over and over again, they were shocked how she was getting any air.

I was in labour for 49 hours straight!

I was 37 weeks and the contraction started on Wednesday at 3 a.m.,were getting stronger and stronger for the first 24 hours but they told me I wasn't dialated enough!
Finally at 3 a.m. Thursday my water broke and I was admitted,they started me on pitocin and I got an epidural,and it wasn't till 20 hours later that I was fully dialated and 4 more hours of pushing that Lola was born.
Miraculously I didn't have lots of stitches....

I was in established labour for 3 hours, slow (very painful) labour for about 5. Got to hospital at 8cm dilated. Gave birth iwithin about 40-50 mins only on gas and air. No stitches and was up in the shower after an hour or 2

i was induced 39weeks because lexi was small (yeahh right) and i was already in 'slow labor' for a week beforehand, so went to hospital at 8am, didnt get a bed in delivery until 3oclock and lexi arrived at 12.15, had gas and air, pehtidine and an epidural.
no stiches but a 'graze' which made me unable to go to the toilet for about a week unless i forced myself hehe it was SO sore.

I was in labour for over 20hours, contractions started on the friday night at 8pm, went to hospital at 3am when i couldnt handle the pain any longer and was admitted and was 3cm dilated and stayed that way untill 12pm saturday lunch time when i got to 6cm dilated and had my waters broken for me. I had gas&air and morphine injection but neither helped with the pain! Then it all went abit mad from there and contractions went irregular so they gave me a drip to try and get things to speed up, only as soon as they did the drip babies heartbeat stopped on the monitor and was rushed for an emergency crash csection and was put to sleep as there wasnt enough time for an epidrual! Very very scary but the whole labour before that was very exciting even though painful and i would do it all over again!

my labour was alrite,

my son was 6 weeks early, and i was in labour for 2weeks without even knowing (just had back ache), my waters broke at 34+6 weeks. I went to hospital and they said i was 5cm dilated!! I was in labour for 8hours, however only pushin for 25minutes. I had gas and air and pethadine!

My son was born at 7.25am weighing 4lb 14oz

Was in active labour for about 6hrs, and 'breathed her out' in about 20mins. No stitches, had a suck of g&a but it made me almost pass out so they turned it off.
Used the shower as my pain relief and gave birth there. Loved every minute of it, got to shower and get clean as soon as the cord was cut
