my lil darling will be 2 weeks in less than 24 hrs.
she still has some lanugo hair on her ears.
i am wondering when this usually falls off?
and when it falls off, will all her headhair also fall off then?

Brians hair rubbed off about 3/4 weeks, he had it all over his back, arms and legs (my little monkey ) :)
head hair can go a couple of different ways it can either rub off at the back where they lay thier head down or it can recied from the front like Brians did or even both but that normaly happens over time about weeks 5

my son was born hairy and at 3years old still is his hair never fell out or patched at all, he wont let us cut his head hair so its very long, only thing that changed about his hair was it got lighter, went from black to brown, when i was born my hair fell out at about 6months was black and grew back quickly and blonde :D

i hope my lil girl gets to keep her hair, though i wouldnt know if she will yet as just about 2 weeks old

Mika was born with a TON of hair on every part of his body. He over 2 months old now and the hair on his back and ears still hasn't fallen out. Aaaaand he still has a mustache. His beard did fall out, and most of his thigh/arm/shoulder/forehead hair has fallen out.

As for his head hair, he has rubbed most of it off on the back where his head touches the bed, but has a long bit at the nape of his neck where it doesn't touch the bed. And he has very long (2 or 3 inches) curls on the very top of his head and some shorter hair that lies flat near his hairline in the front. The worst part of him being so hairy is that he was white when he was born and his hair was jet black, lol.

if babies are born with the lanugo hair it'll fall off in a few weeks my mother told me i was born with it she said i had a swirl of it on my for head lol and it was on my back and my friends baby was born with a head full of hair but it did thin out but it came back :)

lol Ollie's hair started to receed (SP) about a week ago (so about 3 weeks old) lol everyday it gets further back he looks like a little old man tho he still has hairy ears xx

Evie is nearly 4 weeks and has a hairy forehead, ears and shoulders
poor love I hope she loses it soon

Sooo cute.

H had hair on her ears which I kept thinking "ooh still there I wonder when that goes" then I think at about two months I suddenly noticed it had gone!!

Congrats on your gorgeous lo. Xx

:)

My LO was born with a lot of lanugo at 27 weeks, and a full head of hair. She lost a patch at the back but kept the rest of her head hair.

When Evie was born she was slightly furry too, but it did fall out over time. As for her head hair, we have an ongoing battle with cradle cap so she keeps losing little bits here and there and then it'll grow back, then fall out again! She has the obligatory bald patch at the back of her head where it rubs on whatever surface she's laying on but now that she's much more mobile and sitting up more, it's growing back slowly and is cute n fuzzy ;)

Thank you :flower:

My LO was born with loads of hair on his head, on his forehead, ears, back, I was worried it wouldn't fall out lol. The hair on his forehead ears and back has gone but his head hair is still there, in fact he's growing more now! Mine and OH's hair fell out when we were young and grew back blonde but it doesn't look like that is going to happen with Alfie, my daughter was born with blonde hair and hers never fell out either. I think a lot of babies hair does fall out though.

Lani still has hairy ears and she is 7 weeks today... she hasnt lost any of the head hair she was born with yet either x

My sister told me that when her MIL first met her grandson she said 'ah look, his hair is so long it curls behind his ears....' when she realised it was on his ears she said 'arghhh it is his ears'... completely freaked her out apparently!!!
