laparoscopy nov 2012- anyone else and wanna buddy up?

Hi!

Ive been in the TTC after loss forum for quite a while, but now they are all pregnant, and Im still not so thought would see if anyone else has got investigations coming up soon so we can support each other...

Ive been TTC for about 16 months now, with one early miscarriage last dec (Christmas day). So far all our bloods and DH spermies are normal so just waiting on the lap then probably going down IUI route...

It would be nice to have some buddies in the same boat, lots of love xx

I'm new to this forum but just wanted to say yes I'm in same boat.

Lap due on 28th September (would of been late November too, but I was lucky enough to get a cancellation).

I've read a lot of horror stories about the op, but a lot more positive stories.

I just had my lap done 2 weeks ago. I decided to go privately as had a very low amh result so time really is of the essence!! I have been trying to conceive for over 2 years, so really hoping this works!!

Hey! I'm due for my lap/dye/hysteroscopy on October 19th I'm extremely nervous but just need some answers. my story in a nut shell....DH and I have been trying for 13 months never been pregnant.....DH SA is perfect I had a saline sonogram April 2012 no problems everything looked good I went on Clomid for 2 rounds no luck....stopped clomid after my HSG on July 27th showed possible bilateral blockage where the tubes meet the uterus. I'm sorry for your loss and on Christmas day at that I'm sorry this is a tough road for all of us, it really shouldn't be so hard

I am 31 but have an amh of a 41 year old (apparently)! I had my lap done to remove endometriosis, flush out both tubes (they only managed to sort one out though) and push my ovaries back in their place. Also my ovaries are half the size they should be.

Thankfully we have been blessed with an amazing son who is 8.

We have decided to try naturally for 3 months as our consultant said there is still a chance and you are more fertile for the first 3 months, then if no luck we will try ivf.

Has your consultant done an amh test and an ultrasound?

hey hun sorry for your loss. I have my first fs app thursday. My gp thinks i have suspected endo though and thinks they will do a lap as soon as, as i have already had all of the u/s bloodwork etc... done. So i shall see what the fs says. Bit nervous but just want to know whats going on in there

I've had use done too which was all ok, was just before i ov'd and showed a big folly, so I'm def ovulating normally. I've not had amy test done though.

how was clomid hearmyprayers? I'm thinking of trying iui with clomid after the lap, if they will give it to me.

so AF started again yesterday for me... I'm trying royal jelly this month, i figure i may as well do everything i can while waiting for iui! anyone doing anything special this month? x

hey klemoncake thanks hun. the app went really well today. They are going to do a combined lap and dye for me in about 4weeks time i think. I am also having 3day blood tests done. Just feel so much better knowing that we are moving forwards.

Oh i'm just goingto try softcups this month. Heard really good stuff about them

hey I'm glad it went ok for you. i know what u mean, feeling like things are progressing makes you feel at least like you are doing something.

so we'll probe be having laps roughly the same time..did they say anything to you about work afterwards?

I've used soft cups before, actually they are ok, i was a bit grossed out initially but they are fine. actually, think I'm gonna get some more now!! I'm cd 6 so the bd'ing is starting soon x

im currently not in work at the mo hun, just been made redundant so gonna take ew months to relax then get back into it. They sent a letter today saying i am on the waiting list and should get a letter by next week with a date for the pre op. So fx it wont be too long.

Did you say you have your date hun?

Hi, just thought I'd drop by to say I'm going in for my pre op tomorrow, ready for my laproscopy on 9th october

I'm getting quite nervous! But at the same time, I really want some answers! I have already been diagnosed with pcos, and have been trying with fertility help for almost a year now :/

Clomid wasn't too bad I was on 50mg for both cycles, the first cycle I noticed a mood change but nothing too bad I didnt ovulate until CD19 with an egg from each ovary and was given the HCG shot to trigger ovulation which made me really sick. I got a false positive 13DPO which was DEVASTATING! 2nd month wasn't too bad clomid still made me really bitchy and sensitive my husband didnt like me that month at all lol but other than that I ovulated early that cycle I believe CD13 but again BFN. IUI was our next step but we've been side tracked by the possible tubal blockage

My pre op is Oct 2nd with my family doctor and pre op bw at the hospital Oct 4th surgery Oct 19th

I know what you mean! I think I'm looking forward to the fact that I will finally be getting some answers (hopefully!). In a weird way, I'm kind of hoping that they do find something...because at least then I would have a reason for having 6 failed cycles of drugs! And hopefully, I can get on a bit further on this ttc journey!

I had my pre op today...it seemed pretty pointless? I get that they needed to know about family history, but it was literally just a questionnaire...they could have sent that out to me, and I could have just posted it back? making more work for themselves! Oh, and I had to give a swab...I'm guessing to make sure there's no infection that I'm going to bring into the hospital

lol, it's so stupid! And what made it worse, what should have been a five minute appt was actually me being there for an HOUR...firstly, someone turned up 25 minutes late for their appt (!) which was supposed to be 15 minutes before mine, and they still let her go in first so that annoyed me, but then also the person I saw first was really annoying, and it was her first day...so really unprepared! She wanted to take my weight and height. She was like, "stand here" and I was like, ok let me take my shoes off first (I had quite high heels on!!) and she was trying to tell me that I didnt need to...I was like uhhhh I'm going to be about 6ft tall! And then she forgot to weigh me...AND she just handed me the swab, without telling me what she wanted me to do! I was just sat there looking confused until she explained it

I defo know what you mean - Im actually looking forward to it as well! At least then you have an answer, instead of every month thinking, its going to be this month and being disappointed! Apparently you are more fertile after it for a few months so maybe we will all get Christmas BFPs!


How annoying about your pre- op. Think mine is just over the phone so hopefully won't take too long.
