Hiya
was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of any last ditch attempts to get pregnant before i get clomid for my next cycle, i think i've pretty much tried everything, but will be willing to give almost anything a go, eg positions, anything really.
Thanks
xx

have you tried soft cups? lots of people trying them over in ttc. i'm in similar position got this month and next before the tube dye test, then only one more before clomid so i've ordered some soft cups and randine lewis book about fertility. Not much else I can think of to try. I must say tho since I started reflexology (had 2 sessions) I've been so relaxed and much less upset all the time!

Good luck hun hope you get that bfp one way or another
xx

thanks for replying, i hsave read about soft cups and am tempted, just a bit wary about what oh will say, think he might think that i've gone a bit crazy.
i've tried reflexology in the past and it is lovely and relaxing, might give it a go again.
hope you get your bfp soon too
xx

i know the size of them alone is bound to make my husband wonder what the hell i'm doing. I'm thinkig i may just pop it in after he's gone to toilet so he doesn't see it :winkwink:

Not sure how likely reflexology is to help get a bfp but its certainly worth it from relaxed less emotional approach!

Have you been diagnosed with any problems or just unexplained? maybe the clomid is your answer hun, my friend concieved second try of clomid.

Good luck xxx:flower:

Hi

did think about when i would be able to inset the soft cup, i know its def worth thinking about, but oh would think i was mad, think i'll stick with laying on bed with legs up in air at the moment!! lol maybe that's just as bad!

we've not got anything wrong with us, just unexplained, am thinking that clomid is prob gonna be the answer, well i hope so anyway, am not enjoying the whole ttc journey, get really down when af arrives every month.

how long have you been ttc? we've been trying since aug 07, with a 6 month break in the middle to get married.

reflexology was fantastic i felt so much better after every session, its such a relaxing treatment.

good luck

xx

we started ttc in July 07 for 10 months then I got a place on nursing course so stopped for a while, we got married in July 09 and started ttc again then so had a further 6 months. FS are calling it 16 months anyway. I've got tube dye test in Feb and hubby has SA then too. Bloods and stuff have all been ok so far, i'm not sure having nothing diagnosed wrong makes you feel any better does it?

Are you ttc your first baby?
xx

it is our first, it is difficult when there's nothing wrong cause that means there's nothing to fix!
we just got married in november and really thought that we might get pregnant, but no such luck!
its our appt on thursday so bit nervous, but also wanting to go to the next stage.

xx

ooh let me know how you get on Thurs, i'm sure all will be fine and the clomid could well be the kick start your ovaries need to pop out a splendid egg, that your hubbys sperm finds with no trouble!

Are you from UK? I just wondered if they have done your blood work more than once?

xx

hi

sorry haven't been on for a few days, so just seen your reply

we do live in the UK, i have only had blood tests done once, the consultant said that i'd need more doing before he gives me any medication, fortunately its my day 22 tomorrow when we have our appt so hopefully i'll be able to have bloods done tomorrow and then again on day and so i'm hoping that i'll be able to start clomid straight away.

i'll let you know how i get on tomorrow.

xx

really hope you had a good apt today mrssunshine!

I've got this book on traditional chinese medicine and it finally arrived yesterday, its really really good, I've nearly read it all already it seems to make so much sense! I've even ordered some herbs that they advise. I can't afford the acupuncture whilst i'm still a student but thought they'd make a good start on my body at least, Hopefully you'll get your bfp really soon so you won't need the book, but its worth a look if its in your library or something.

xx

hi
what is the book called and i'll have a look for it
had appt today and he suprised me by offering me IUI or clomid! So i've opted for 3 months of clomid and then IUI if that doesn't work, the IUI just sounds a bit too invasive at the moment, so am feeling quite positive that i might get pregnant before the year is out!!!

Excellent News!!! ~when do you start the clomid then?

the book is by Randine Lewis, called the infertility cure. I'd def give the TCM a go before IUI I know what you mean about it being so invasive, mind you I might be saying the same about the tube dye test in a few weeks *shudder*
and one of the girls on here has just got a bfp after only a few cycles of acupuncture and herbs, you'll have to read it to see what I mean!

xx

Take clomid!! It didn't work for me, but the faster you start on that the sooner you can be diagnosed with unexplained infertility and start seeing a specialist. You might be the lucky few that get pregnant on it!! Good luck!!

BTW... I just saw your comment on IUI. I am on my third round of IUI. It really isn't too invasive. It just feels a bit uncomfortable. If you don't have a male factor or bad cm, then you should be just as good with clomid. Good luck!

I don't have a male factor problem, but my cm isn't very good... plus it helps knowing that the sperm is actually inside your uterus and it won't fall out ;)

thanks for the replys ladies.
i'll start clomid next week AF is due about the 27th or 28th so start it on day 2, have to have bloos done before i start taking it. am hoping i'm not gonna need it, but to be honest i haven't had any success with getting pregnant so far so doubt this month will be any different! :haha:
