Let the August Babies Be Born!

Pregnancy must be the only time you can justifiably get excited about having diarrhoea lol

Cazran that really made me laugh haha! My bum is killing today I've got like pressure when baby moves it's horrid.

Baby is currently hiccuping on my bum, such an odd odd feeling. I don't want anymore babies after this so bit sad in a way that's it's coming to an end. 19 days maximum to go!!

21 max for me that sounds horrendous honestly haha. I definitely don't want any more. It's a horrible thing to say and I love my baby but I bloody hate being pregnant

Mission get baby out has really stepped up today. I am due tomorrow. Scrubbing floors on your hands and knees is killer, especially when you feel very sick and have lots of pressure down below.
Been on raspberry leaf tablets for a few weeks now. Stopped drinking the tea cause k couldn't stomach it. Been trying to DTD every other day, doing bits of nipple stimulation when I can. Lots of moving, bending and cleaning. I'd love to go for a walk but I can't go very far cause of SPD. My 20 month old is keeping very active though. Was having EWCM yesterday, maybe bits of plug? But nothing today. Started having period pains and back ache yesterday which lasted for a few hours. Today I have a lot of pressure, feel like I'm desperate for a wee all the time. Going to go for a hot bath later with clary sage oil then massage my belly with it and get other half to do my back with it. I have till Thursday to get her moving or make my cervix more favourable before induction. Fingers crossed its our time soon. Really hoping to avoid another Csection. Any tips ladies I'll be truly grateful. Xx

Suze12, I had my before C-section consultation today and all went well. They check my iron level and blood pressure. Gave instructions on what will happen. I met the surgeon and the anaesthesiologist who will operate me. As this is my second C-setion and the first one was problem free they seem to be pretty laxed. I hope all goes well.

They instructed me to take a special bath with special soap that kills all the bacteria on the skin to avoid any potential of infection. I will have to do it tomorrow morning too.

The surgeon was very experienced, like he has been doing this for 30 years and he assured me that C-section are very common operations and the key is to be just relaxed.

I will let you know tomorrow how things go. Good luck and take care

My August 5th baby finally arrived on the 19th August when I was 42 weeks!
I had a little boy called Blake and he weighed 9lb 13Oz!!!
All it took was just to brake my waters and labour started full on! Kind of annoying I had to wait soo long when all it took was to break my waters!
Good luck to everyone waiting! Hope you all get to meet your little ones soon.
I'm on cloud 9 and actually kinda sad it's all over now!

My August 13th baby was born August 19th. After having a membrane sweep at my checkup, I went into Labor the next morning. My contractions slowly progressed. I stayed at home as long as I could from 9am to 10:30pm.After that the contractions were really strong and I went to the hospital and was 5cm dialated. They gave me an epidural I went to sleep till about 4:15am. Then I felt preassure from the baby's head, so I asked the nurse to come to my room and she checked me and said I was ready to start pushing. So she called the on- call doctor and the rest of the team to come in to the room to deliver the baby. They gave me some pitocin and I was told to push only when I was having a contraction. After pushing about 9 times my baby boy was born via successful VBAC. He was born at 4:47am. He weighed 7lbs and 6oz. I had a great experience. I am so glad I opted for a VBAC!

Congratulations ladies on the arrival of your little ones! Both nice positive stories

Congratulations both! Good to hear some positive stories. Still waiting here, 41 weeks tomorrow, nothing happening despite sweep today although midwife is 'hopeful' I'll go before induction next Monday

Congratulations ladies. Yay 2 more beautiful babes enter the world. Shame they were late but at least they are healthy :) enjoy your little bundles. X

Yay for two more August babies!! Late, but still made it here safely :) And thanks for the positive stories of late babies; I'm due Wednesday and patient but impatient. Won't do anything "artificial" to induce right now, but feeling like maybe she'll never actually choose to come out...

Congratulations ladies. Lovely to hear the positive birth stories. Hope you can recover quickly and enjoy this precious time.

Good luck today sunshine, hope it all goes really well. I'm looking forward to hearing your news.
I have my pre op tomorrow. Eek, bring relaxed is going to be the last thing I'll be ha!
Sending lots of luck and love x

39+1 today, noticed I have diarrhoea! My belly felt a bit weird earlier if it was pressed on it was uncomfortable. I'm really hoping this is the beginning!

The amount of "bloody show" I've lost today is absolutely Gross! I rang labour and delivery cos of the amount of blood but they say it's normal. I feel a bit dodgy with some back ache. But no contractions
Praying for us all!!!

I could cry :( after losing some or all of my plug lastnight/today and have cramps all night for them to disappear this mid morning. They haven't returned. Nothing I do seems to getting them back. I'm in 2 minds as to carry on trying to get them to come or just sleep as I was up all night I've only slept for an hour half since yesterday. Sleep or walk? Sleep or walk? Lol x
