Let the August Babies Be Born!

I'm with you ladies that haven't enjoyed pregnancy this time. This has by far been my hardest pregnancy, and as much as I want my daughter to be fully cooked, I'm so ready to be done now lol. I'm due August 24th though I wouldn't be surprised if she comes up to a couple weeks early since I've never made it to my due date in either of my previous pregnancies. I can't wait until we're all sharing our newborn pics :)

How is everyone feeling?

For me, the first trimester takes the cake as far as sheer awfulness goes... That said, the last few weeks are SO hard!!!

I'm just 32+1 today, due August 26 but wondering if I'll go into September. I have a feeling this baby will be late. Either that or I'm just telling myself this baby will be late so I don't go absolutely insane like I did my first pregnancy, when I "had a feeling" baby would come early and then she was born at 40+6.

My second baby was born 2 days before his due date, and while I'm hoping to get that lucky again, I have to keep my sanity and tell myself I'll have this baby at 41-42 weeks...

I also don't feel nearly as impatient this time. I am excited for sure but not impatient. I remember how impatient I was with my first and now her fifth birthday is a few short months away and I wish it would all slow down.

I also want to treasure these last weeks of having my little boy as the baby of the family. He's so, so little still. And he's also a very intense ("spirited") little guy and I have no idea how I will balance all 3!

This has been my easiest pregnancy I think, which I'm hugely grateful for-- we'll see what I'm saying about that in 8 weeks though.

I'm so nervous for labour but at the same time I'm so excited to see my little one and find out if it's a boy or a girl!

The first trimester seemed so slow, but now the time is flying by.
I start antenatal classes today!
Although everything seems to be getting harder to do, I'm looking forward to meeting my little man.

I have 8 days to go and I'm really starting to get nervous. Like I've been in denial of this baby coming for 8 months 😂

So close for you now Tani! Exciting! Sounds from your other posts like baby is going to do great on the outside despite the early delivery. Fingers crossed for you too. :)

And MrsKatie me too, EDD is the 9th but I'm always telling myself it'll probably be closer to the 15th. Been telling people "mid-august" from the beginning too so I think that helps!

5 weeks 6 days for me!! My pregnancy has gone so quickly! I hope you lovely ladies for a great labour :)

Im thinking she may be early... My other 2 was 38 weeks so we will see.... im aloud S&S from 37 weeks so that may help ay :winkwink: But im not that big at all so not sruggling with sleeping ect.. but the heartburn is terrible and also the odd cramping pains and when she lays on a nerve haha! Last night I could feel her scratching me where my Bikini line is so head must be lower... isnt it? as she is deffo head down at my scan Thursday and can feel her bump and legs and her legs kicking mt ribs haha xxx

My back is officially shot! My lower back is killing when I walk/ sit for too long and my upper back hurts if I sleep funny. No pillows are helping and I'm struggling to keep up with my nearly 3 year old which is really getting upsetting. Just want my little guy to be here. Organised my clothes today but still doesn't feel real!

I can't waite till next month! I'm due August 13th. I am completely ready for my baby boy!

Hey ladies

Im due on the 9th August so just over 5 weeks for me :happydance:

I dont finish work until the 29th July and I'm kinda regretting leaving it so late now but I work part time (2 in the office, 1 day from home) so its not too bad and I wanted to work as close to due date as poss to get as much time off as poss with baby

When is everyone else packing up work?

this is baby no 2 for me, my son is 4 years old. I didn't realise how tiring 2nd/subsequent pregnancies could be. I think working, running a house and running around after a 4 year old definatley takes its toll ha ! i am starting to get tired now and getting back pain, period type pain in my bump and braxton hicks on quite a regular basis.

Think the main thing for me this pregnancy has been bad restless leg at night so havent slept great from 28 weeks - but i think im at a point now where I am just used to broken/no sleep ha !

Im having a girl this time and have started to wash and iron all of her new born sized bits this week :happydance: going to wash her bedding and set up cot a bit nearer the time and also put isofix base and car seat in the car soon. Also more or less finished packing hospital bags

cant wait to meet her now! im strangely excited about going into labor this time which is crazy as my birth with my first was bloody awful ha !

Hows everyone else feeling? are you prepared? X

I planned to work until July 23rd (38+2). Baby however had other ideas so I haven't worked since June 4th. I'm so bored

I'm also getting no sleep so.ive taken to binge watching one born every minute :haha:

I like the older episodes of one born every minute. They seemed more realistic and less acting than the newer episodes, if I may say so. Still very entertaining to watch especially given that we'll be in that position soon

I've found with the earlier seasons you spend more time with each mum. Like 2 per episode and some got 2 episodes
The later seem to just churn through the women

Joining in :) I'm due Aug 24th, but my TTC app assures me it should be August 29th. So I'm expecting a September baby. I've done like the other ladies and hedged my due date when talking to folks to keep the pressure off. Not set to start Mat leave until the 29th, but I'll be taking some family leave for a week or two before. And already working from home more.

I also had an awful first trimester, so I think now seems easy compared. I was starting to feel exhausted and have "anxiety" attacks, but turns out I was severely anemic and it was giving me heart palpitations. Makes sense because I wasn't entirely sure what I was anxious about when I felt my heart going crazy!

I'm pretty happy to keep waiting :) It's our first and I know it'll NEVER be like this again for us <3 Pretty sure our baby girl hasn't made ANY move towards leaving yet, so I guess she feels the same way ;)

Also due 13th August here!

Am really looking forward to meeting this little lady but not feeling impatient yet, I really want her to be properly cooked before she comes out.

We just started our hypnobirthing course and have got most of our bits now, I only have eight working days left over the next few weeks and looking forward to finishing and relaxing but know I'll quickly get bored :haha:

Welcome to all the new ladies! This is a good place to discuss all things pregnancy these last couple months.

I've found with the earlier seasons you spend more time with each mum. Like 2 per episode and some got 2 episodes
The later seem to just churn through the women

Maybe that is why it seems like they're not as realistic. They do just blip through the women, no mention of how long their labours were from start to finish or anything, just the birth weight once the baby is born. They don't even really show them in pain. They just show them when they first arrive and when they're ready to push.

Eee, got terrific news at my appt yesterday that my low-lying placenta moved up! 2.7 cm from the cervix now which means good to go for a vaginal birth. It was only 8mm away at 30 weeks, if it had stayed put it would have been a scheduled c-section.

I'm over the moon that I'll get to experience going into labor naturally and can safely pursue my low-intervention birth plans.

<3 <3 <3 <3 !

Yay marmoset that's awesome news! I'm excited for my low intervention birth too, I've been researching like mad about statistics on inductions/sections/random interventions and I'm happy I'm picking the natural route.

I can't believe August is so close. Aug 27th for me but part of me thinks I'll be going a tad early, at least if I get the good genes from my mom.
