During menstrual bleeding, the cervix is normally low and hard and slightly open to allow the blood to flow out. It feels like the tip of your nose.
After your period stops, the cervix remains low and hard and the opening to the uterus (uterine os) remains closed.
As you approach ovulation, the cervix rises up to the top of the vagina and becomes softer and moister.
At the height of ovulation, the cervix feels more like your lips than your nose and the uterine os is open to allow sperm to enter in. Sometimes the cervix seems to disappear – which just means it has become so soft that it blends in with the vagina walls and rises so high that the finger cannot touch it. This is known as SHOW - soft, high, open and wet. This is your most fertile time and is the optimal time to have sex to achieve pregnancy.
Once ovulation occurs, the cervix drops lower and becomes more firm - once again feeling like the tip of your nose. The opening to the uterus will become tightly closed. This can happen immediately after ovulation or may take several hours to several days.
When pregnancy occurs, the cervix will rise up and become soft, yet the os will remain tightly closed. This occurs at different times for different women – as early as 12 days after ovulation or well after the pregnancy has been confirmed by a home pregnancy test or doctor.

As far as my cervix goes from my last pregnancy, by 6dpo I was notating that my cervix was high and felt swollen, along with my vaginal walls.

Im thinking now, it wasnt so much that my cervix was swollen as it was that it was just extremely soft. Which is exactly what it feels like now.

Im crossing my fingers suuuuuuper hard!

How's everyone doing today?

My temp took a slight dip (.1) but it's still well above the cover line.

Symptoms for yesterday include: cramps, dizziness, thirst, fatigue, heartburn, frequent urination, sensitive nips and vivid dreams.

Cervix yesterday (5dpo) was incredibly high, soft and tightly closed.

We shall see what today brings! I'm dying to start testing now.

Hey there.. why does this wait seem to drag. It takes everything not to test lol. So symtoms for yesterday are: slight cramps right side that went down into upper thigh, gassy, bloated, irritable, cervix is high solt and open... almost feels swollen.. i guess just being soft. Today at 5dpo i had a temp dip from staying around 98.4(48 yesterday) to 97.64 today. So below my coverline??? Nose is runny this am and used the bathroom tqice (sorry tmi) cervix is still soft....

I sure hope ita happening for both of us. I forgot to mention insomnia and when i finally asleep very vivid nightmares. I have noticed through today a bit more cramping and some sharp pain in bbs. How has your day gone? Just got all my cheapies in the mailso may start testing tomorrow lol

Its so funny you mention that! Last night I was EXHAUSTED! But I couldnt fall asleep/stay asleep if my life depended on it. It was horrible! Then early this morning (between getting up twice to pee - which I NEVER do) I had a SUPER vivid dream about my egg donor (who I havent spoken to in almost 2 years).

I just started feeling a little queasy a few minutes ago actually. But that could be because all I ate for lunch was some Wheat Thins.

Trying not to chalk it up to too much, but I am either 5 or 6 DPO depending on if I ovulated the day before or the day of the IUI. I am having a lot of creamy lotion he CM. The only reason this makes me excited, is that it is the one thing I noticed big-time before I got pregnant in September. Fingers crossed!

Im not having a ton of CM but it is definitely creamy/lotiony.

Cervix is still super high, soft and tightly closed!

Banana: Im in Jacksonville I think were looking at less than 1 inch of snow but some ice and sleet in the morning. Im just hoping my husband has off work tomorrow since he has to work this weekend!
