LH Strips, and OV time

Even though my husband and I are NTNP, I have been using the LH Test strips. Had AF on the 7th, and got my first OV positive FINALLY last night. Hubbie and I got "busy" this morning. I took another LH test this morning (7 am), test was neg, but I took another just a few minutes ago and it was positive but the line wasn't as dark as last nights (could be due to timing). I think the negative/positive result was more or less based on the time I took it.

This whole lighter/darker line thing is annoying.

I'm now cramping pretty bad, and I've had crazy mucus for the last 2-3 days. Could I still be OV?

I think I read that when you get a positive result that means you'll be ovulating about 12 to 24 hours later so if your still having other symptoms then I'd say your still ovulating and could still get pregnant if you have sex today!
