Lights on first or after?

So when you put ur tree up do you decorate it first then put the lights on, or do you put the lights on first then decorate??

I usually put them on last but think it might be easier to do it first?

First, it's esker to decorate and means the wires are a bit more hidden. x

We put the lights on first but don't switch them on until we've finished decorating the tree

Also means you dont disrupt the other decs if you plug them in and theyre broken so need to take them off again!

Ive always put them on 1st.. but evey year I wonder if they should be going on last, coz once you've got the tinsel and decorations on, you cant see any of the lights!! lol

Always lights first, i also tie each light to the end of each branch, takes forever but looks really good. x

Our tree has them on already which is great cos there is lots and they are all neat and spaced out well but if they were not on I would def put them on 1st x
