Linea Nigra... When does it appear?

I had one with my first that started around 25 weeks or so. It was a full belly line (above and below the belly button). I got pregnant 2 months after giving birth and it never faded completely. Wondering if it will just stick around and get darker as this pregnancy progresses.

I haven't had one either, didn't with my first. Don't now. Glad for it. Don't want one =)

Mine appeared at around 16 weeks and since then it's gotten darker and a little longer x

I had one with my dd,but it only went to the naval,this time it goes higher up.Mine showed up this time around at 3.5 months.

I had one early it was oh gosh like .. 16-17 weeks i think. It started out low below my belly button and lower, then as time went on theres one from the top of my belly that fades to my belly button .. like it doesn't quite make it to my button. Slightly crooked too lol

Hello ladies popping over from first tri!!

Was doing some googling- bad i know- because for about 2 weeks now ive noticed a dark line from my belly button dow to my pubic bone. Found it was called the linea Nigra line.

I havent had my first scan yet, it will be oct 4th. My date are my own calculations, but could i be further into my pregnancy than i think?

I also read darker complexion woman tend to get fast, or it is more pronounced when your of some pigment in your skin tone.

What do you ladies think??

I've had it since 10-12 weeks. I don't remember exactly when but it surprised me how early. Caught my eye in the mirror and had a "whoa" moment. I do tan really easily and have lots of (little) moles so it does make sense considering it's a pigment thing.

I got a pretty dark one with my son around 25 weeks. I didn't mind it, and my husband loved it! Lol. So far, there's no sign of one with this pregnancy, but we'll see!

Mine was quite dark last time and Im very fair Cant remember when it appeared though it took months after to fade too. This time its just started to appear at 25 weeks x

With every woman its different, mine started to appear @ 8 weeks now its darker. I had a dark one with DS also. But like the others have said not everybody gets it.

I had can't remember what gestation I was when it started to appear with ds1 and ds2 but I definitely had one. This time around it started to appear at approx 10 weeks,I'm now 13 weeks it's little but noticeable I guess it will grow as bump does.
I am quite dark skinned so no sure if that has anything to do with it

mine starts round about 10 weeks and by my due date is like permanent marker
