So I had my D&C at 7w4d on the 1st of April. At 6w1d my hcg had been 7600 (& it's increasing had slowed right down from previous weeks).

I can't say for sure, but I imagine by the time I got the D&C I may have been around 10'000, maybe a little higher, maybe a little lower.

I peed on an FRER with FMU 1 week and 5 days later, and still had a faint but clearly there line. Guessing of past blood tests, I think my hcg would have been somewhere between 50-120ish to get that strength of a line.

This was almost 3 weeks ago. I tracked ovulation and I know I'm 10dpo. My hubby and I did do the deed at ovulation time - although for us this is unlikely to result in pregnancy because of male factor issues. However we did get pregnant naturally after my first MC, so not completely impossible.

So, I peed on an FRER with FMU at 10dpo and there is a very faint line... Now I'm wondering if this is just lingering hcg. There seems to be such a huge grey area with how long it takes for the hcg to go down to zero, so I know I won't get any true answers without doing repeat blood tests to see if it increases..

Ugh, it's just so annoying... I'm fairly certain I'm not pregnant, but now have that little bit of wonder to if I possibly could be.

Well it turns out to be a genuine BFP in this case.. Test this morning was a lot darker - you can now clearly see in a photo.

Now let the anxiety kick in.. Will this be miscarriage number 4 or our rainbow baby..

Congrats KatBar! That is so exciting! My dream is to get pregnant again that quickly, but I can't imagine my HCG coming down for a while. I've got my fingers crossed that this is your rainbow!

Thank you :)!

Sorry about your miscarriage :(. Do you know how high your hcg was to begin with?
It definitely seems like such a grey area.. some women seem to drop the hcg quite quickly (even if slightly on the higher side), and then for others it drags on for weeks.
I will certainly keep my fingers crossed for you that yours drops without too much fuss!

Definitely keep an eye on if you ovulate, as I truly believe what "they" all say, and you are more fertile after a MC. My husband and I have never been able to get pregnant naturally (& we gave it a good crack), yet the 2 times we now have been, have been after a MC.

ahh congrats katbar I hope this is your rainbow baby!!!!

Thanks Katbar and congrats again, I really hope this is your beautiful rainbow!

I know my level was around 58,000 on April 17th (checked after some spotting that worried me). Miscarriage was discovered on the 20th (but baby had stopped growing 2 weeks prior), D&C on the 21st. My OB said he doesn't monitor HCG after a miscarriage so all I have to go by is that my pregnancy test came back positive still on the 2nd. I feel like my body is gearing up to ovulate, but I have read that after a miscarriage you can't trust any cramps, cervical mucus or even OPKs so I'm just assuming that I'm not.

It's really interesting that both of your natural BFPs came after miscarriages! Maybe there is some truth to that one.
