--Lion Cubs - Mummy and Baby Group!-- We are all One Year Old!

are you excited for tomorrow mj ? :D xxx

YES! I couldn't be more excited if it was my own birthday, in fact I wouldn't be. SO excited. I've been at work all day, just got in and made 24 cupcakes, have to make the icing and do that. Only problem is the handmixer will disturb Adam, who's gone to bed now...

I didn't do the Hungry Caterpillar cupcakes, much as I wanted to. Next year I will. Chris saw a monkey cake in M&S and wanted that, so I let him. I saw Jesse's cake on FB, wow, it's beautiful! nutty, you're a very very talented lady. :D

Hi gals! Ugh! What a busy day today. We've been out buying all the new flooring stuff (talk about owch in the wallet) and are now about to start laying the new flooring. Oy vey! At least it will be very nice and worth it when it's done.

I understand about the lack of space and children having to share rooms. We live in a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house. Chances are that Bryson will have to share his room with his new baby sibling when he/she arrives. We plan on using a curtain like partition to divide them and turn the new baby's side into a nice (hopefully pink) nursery and Bry's side be cute little boy stuff for him. We are thinking about making an offer on the house we are renting since we're going through all of the expense and hassle of re-doing crap on this house that needs it. They've given us the opportunity before, several times in fact. Eventually we would build onto this house and expand it to add on more bedrooms and perhaps a study for hubby. Though I'd prefer our own personal library. :)
Anyways, there are plenty of ways to put 2 little ones into the same bedroom if you're creative about it. Well I better get back to helping hubby. Juggling Bryson at the same time though is quite tricky haha.

Hope you're all having a nice day! Talk to you all soon. :flower:

PS- Cleckner: I do get irregular cycles. Sometimes they will be exactly 30 days long, sometimes 32 or even 40. Sometimes I OV, sometimes I don't. Apparently I did this cycle though! :happydance: Hopefully my ovaries will behave themselves when we TTC in October. If not, then I'm gonna bring around their friend, Clomid! Haha. :haha:

So weird to think that exactly a year ago I was berating the midwife who refused to help me with my tens machine (in our rush to get to the hospital we forgot the bloody instructions and I couldn't remember where exactly to place the electrodes :dohh: )

what a long and horrible night that was (till they gave me the epidural at 6.30am  )

Nutty- I agree your cakes are so amazing. I've always wanted to try to learn how to mess with fondant on cakes because they look so pretty but everyone I've talked to say they taste gross. Does it really taste that bad? For Emma's cupcakes I made buttercream frosting and it was delicious but I'd love to learn better techniques to make them look good. It's like playing with playdoh. :haha:

We are in a 3 bedroom right now as well but the 3rd bedroom has all my crafty stuff and DH's model car hobby stuff in one area, and than there is a futon and workout equipment that will be in there. So I think our next child will share a room with Emma as well. Although maybe not because we will more than likely cosleep again so we might not have to even set up a 'nursery' for the next one. It was such an utter waste with Emma. Although I already have a boy crib set.

I've just learned DH will probably be going out for 7 months yet again next year just the same as this year so that's two years in a row that we'll miss christmas, valentines day, our anniversary( from being together, not wedding), etc. together. I hope it's not true but I will certainly be thankful when he is done with this ship. They are horrible. He's been on another ship and it was SO much better than this one. Live and learn I guess!

I got back to essentially my pre-pregnancy weight but I was absolutely not in my pre-pregnancy shape. I was pretty muscular from cycling to work everyday, and now I'm flabtastic from sitting on my tubby behind for a year :haha: I have seriously heavy bones though, tiny wee ribcage but stonking great hips and even when I was a size 10-12 I weighed around 10.5-11 stone, which is tons for a 5'2" gal. I used to have to warn boys not to try and pick me up after someone slipped a disc doing it - I may look pocket sized but I'm really NOT. Have you thought about getting a cycle seat for Emma? I have a bobike mini for Mog and I love going out with her, and she loves it too! And she looks so cute in her little bike helmet :)

I'm at work on Mogling's birthday, but I'm going to buy a cake to take to the childminders (I have to buy one so they know what the ingredients are for the other kids, some of whom have allergies). Hopefully the kids will like that and we'll have a proper party when OH is back from the Edinburgh Festival.

I had thought about going out and taking Emma for a ride but I'm scared I'll tip and she'll get hurt. I'm really clumsy. And I have a feeling Emma would hate it. I do see families riding around with their kids in the little bike seat thing and it's cute but I'm way too terrified Emma would end up hurt.

im sooo tired gunna get to sleep soon cus we have a longgg day tomorrow!

i just set all jesses presents out from us and OMG he has loads! dread to think how many he will have this time tomorrow! LOL

and his cake is gorgeous! im soo happy! xx

Awww that's so great Boothh! I wish you guys could be around for Bryson's first birthday. My family is so messed up and dysfunctional. None of them give a crap about him and my mother wont even say his name unless she has to. :grr: It's ridiculous. Likely the only people who will be involved in his first bday are my in laws and us (me, hubby, and his older brother/my oldest son, Zachary). It's just so sad. I'd really love to be able to have a big old party and be surrounded by lots of family. :nope: Oh well. I guess a few is better than none.

Well I better get back at helping hubby. Bryson just fell asleep and is down for a nap so I better get stuff done while I can before he wakes up haha. Talk to you all later. :hugs:

Kimberly- I didn't have a huge party either. Just me, DH, and my parents. But honestly it was much less stressful that way. I stress out so easily and being hostess to a huge group of people would probably make me really bitchy. :haha:

Emma can now officially stand from nothing and walk. EEK!:happydance: She keeps picking things up and carrying them over to me. And she will only walk with her hands up in the air. I think they are to steady her but it's SO cute. :haha:

Happy Birthdays to all the babies, I was gone all night and day so I am just now trying to catch up. :hugs:

Ash, Kara is soooooooooooo cute, I can not get over what a little fashion star she is :p
Ouch about the puppy bill, that would make me pretty ehh to pay that bill haha. :(
Glad the puppy is okay though.

Cleck...AHHH EMMA is in her big girl bed haha. YAY. I just showed Ross and I was like..AHHHHHH LOOK! :p I am jealous. My stepmom actually makes all the bedding for her grandkids and she picked up cupcake material for caylee and lilys room! So they will have cupcake quilts, crazy haha.
So glad to hear she is walking, you always said by her 1st birthday and what do you know!

Heidi- She is walking way before I ever did! :haha: I didn't walk until the end of 14 months. I saw on your FB things a re disappearing. Do you think caylee is hiding stuff? :haha:

my baby is ONE! wow, that year went fast...

Happy birthday, Adam! :happydance:

And happy birthday, Jesse :D

i cant believe they are one!!!

happy birthday Jesse and Adam!! :D

well jesse is loving all his new toys, though i had to open all his presents because i stupidly blew up some balloons and put them with his presents, and of course he was much more interested in chasing the balloons around! he is loving his laugh and learn chair though and ride on!

and you know what iv been awake since 5am waiting for him to wake up and wouldnt you know first time since i can remember he slept 8pm - 7.30am!! big boy all in his own bed!! :)

right i have to go and get everything ready to come and pick our birthdya cake up, so see you soon nutty ;) haha

im so stressed with organising i dont think we will go as big next year may just hire out a soft play center lol and save myself from the chaos!

xx

Happy Birthday Jesse and Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I can not believe the boys are one today. ENJOY IT MAMAS.

I dont know who is taking our stuff haha, but it annoys me because we have had things in a place that we wanted them to be and we left them where Caylee couldnt touch them....and now they are gone, its a few items now, at first we thought we misplaced things..but I am starting to second guess this whole thing, because its happening a lot

Heidi- that's nuts! Your gonna have to get a hidden camera for that spot. :haha:

Happy birthday again to Adam & Jesse!! I hope they had an amazing day! I know your day is almost over already but it's only 10AM for me and I just woke up.

Happy Birthday Jesse and Adam!!!!! :cake: :happydance:
Amazing how fast the first year of their life flies by! :hugs:

I have a quick question. When do we put babies into shoes? Do I get them for her now that she is walking? Or still wait until she's more confident and doesn't fall as much? I'd ask in the toddler section but it kind of scares me in there. :haha: I plan on taking her to get fitted and get nice shoes because I keep reading how it's best if they fit just right and have soft soles so the feet can grow properly? I've been looking at robeez online and am so tempted to buy but I don't really know her size.

Happy Birthday Jesse and Adam - I hope the parties went well, can't wait to see pictures!

We are going to start TTC in october I think so there will be a few of us! Sophia will also share a room with her sibling, once the new baby (hopefully - I find it difficult to assume we can have another) is out of the nursery.

Boothh - are you still waiting for the witch?

Cleck - i read somewhere that you shoudl wait until your baby has been walking for 6 weeks before getting them proper shoes - no idea how reliable that info is though!

Kim - good luck with the TTC

AE - I like the idea of riding with Sophia but like Cleck I am scared stiff of falling off and her getting hurt. I guess I am not that confident on a bike so it would be unwise for me to ride with her. Maybe i will leave it to David!

I was on a hen night in London last night - by about 10.30pm I was ready for bed, but got a second wind and ended up lasting until 4am -go me :haha: Feel a little fragile today but nothign too bad. And Sophia was a gem for David so all good!

i am still waiting shiv - think i will test tomorrow, bit annoyed though cus MIL decided to announce at jesses party that they were leaving cus SIL felt ill cus shes pregnant, shes due in march.. thanks for telling me at jesses birthday making me upsetting and ruining my day mil.. cheers! iv been saying since jesse was born SIL was jealous and i kept saying she would be pregnant before he was 1.. and oh look she is haha! been proved right, just so annoyed!

jesse had a great dayt though! we cant move in our living room for toys and clothes! xx
