Has anyone used one of these? Know anything about them? We're going on holiday and want to do some longer walks, don't have money to buy a new carrier and finding LO tolerating the usual slings etc less and less (she has never loved being worn in anything as likes a bit more wriggle room!). My brother has one they can lend us but all the pics I've seen online are where it's being demonstrated using a doll so I can't really tell what baby's positioning will be like and obviously can't tell how comfy it'll be for me & hubby. Just wanting to find out if it's worth making the long trip to my brother's to borrow it.

So if you've used them, are the comfy for wearer...I've heard that hip belt can dig in (is this incorrect positioning by wearer or a downside of the carrier?) and is it a comfy position for baby? Also what happens if they fall asleep, how do they rest their head without 'lolling about'?

Thanks in advance, Px

Hi we have this and i used to sell them where i worked. If you bought a rucksack you would try a few different styles on to see what suited you best, the same applies to baby carriers really. Everyone is shaped differently so what might suit one person wont another...but, if your just borrowing it i would say go for it as your not wasting any money if its not totally perfect. They are comfy imo, but a lot of people make the mistake of not adjusting it correctly in the first place. Make sure the shoulder straps are evenly tightened (at the top of the shoulder where the strap meets the carrier you will find a strap adjustment. Make sure that is not too loose - the further away the carrier is to you, the less stable it is and it will feel less comfortable. The only downside to this is the carrier is pulled closer to your head but just find a happy medium that suits you. Use the chest strap but dont tie it too tight, just enough to give light support. Finally, feel where your hip bone is, the hip strap should start a few centimetres above that, most of it should be below your hip. Most people wear it too high which means they could experience more discomfort because the weight isnt distributed properly. If its too high, adjust the back height on the bag. My LO seems happy enough in there, but the first few tries she only tolerated it for a certain period of time before she had had enough. I would suggest getting something to support LO neck when sleeping - we stuffed a cardigan on one side for support in an emergency because when she fell asleep she didnt look very comfy. We have a beany neck support for her now but you can buy little life neck supports too. Or make a mini pillow! hth :flower:

Thanks so much, that's really really helpful! Do you use stirrups on yours? Was just googling again and seems you can get stirrups. Are they worth getting as don't think my bro has them. Thank you again for your reply x
