so after 25 and a half hours of labour and a few hospital
cock ups we finally came home last night
to a decent bed and editable food!!
it all started wednesday night or morning should
i say my waters broke in my sleep at 1 am so we
got up, phoned the hospital and set out for a long night!
contractions started at about half 2 in the hospital.
was first given some pethedine, they wouldn't let
me have anything else and they said i needed sleep!
which i did but it didn't actually work
just made me throw up!
then i hit the gas and air!
and i stayed on that pretty much
until she was born.
my cervix wouldn't dilate past 6cms so i was
in non progressive labour for most of the time!
and where my waters broke from the top they
had to be broken to try and speed things up,
that didn't work either my body refused to go
past 6cms! in came the hormone drip, this was
then at about 10pm wednesday and tar dar
things started to happen.
i asked for an epidural, i'll think twice before
doing that again! and the stupid thing didn't
work properly, which the hospital apologised
for but it really didn't help the labour
just caused me more pain!
1.45 thursday morning they allowed me to
start pushing, that was def the easiest
part by far! and alow and behold at 2.25
am my little girl came into the world and
weighing a perfect 7lb 7.5oz
you'd think it was over but no, when delivering
the placenta wouldn't all come out so i had to
be rushed into the theatre so they could reach
on in there and grab the rest of it out, i have
never bled or thrown up so much in my life,
i lost sooooo much blood that night but its
certainly worth it!
little emily is perfectly healthy and happy,
im on medication and jasons a little mentally
scarred for life but like i said sooo worth it!
