Hey all :)

This is our 4th month ttc and although I have been doing the billings method with my doctor for over a year.

Looking for someone "in the know". I've read a lot on here about temps and checking your cervix ... all news to me! Billings is all about what you see mucus wise and the sensations felt, got that down to a t. Although I'm sure I'm like many of you here and willing to chart as much as humanly possible in the hope it takes us to that pos result!

So I'm 25, from Scotland and currently on day 3 or 4 of my cycle (little confused period started a day early this month - i say started was barely spotting on thursday if you can call it that) according to my charts due to ovulate somewhere around the 14th, although it can be a bit all over the place due to my thyroid problem and suspected prolactinoma. Outwith hubby I don't really talk to anyone about this, all my friends have kids or are out partying and yeah, not the kind of convo they are into so would be very grateful to find someone on here :)

Hi Pamcakes!

I'm 27, OH is 26. We have a DD who is 22 months old who was conceived our first month trying. We are currently on cycle 13 of trying to give her a sibling. My OH works away from home though, so we have only had a fair chance about 10 of those cycles.
I have a hsg scheduled for the 19th to check my tubes for blockages. The specialist wants to check b/c I had a section with my DD and scar tissue can sometimes cause blockages.
I am currently on CD 18 and think I may have ovulate today, if not tomorrow.
I do temp, have used opks but am currently using a clear blue fertility monitor. This was my first cycle using it and I got peak readings on CD 17 and 18. I'm hoping to catch that egg this cycle and avoid all the medical intervention I have coming!
I know what you mean about having no one to talk to. My OH gets tired of all of the ttc talk, especially after 13 months and most of my friends just don't understand!

Oh hoping this is the month for you guys!! :) I had the same issue with the scar tissue not because of c-section (don't have any kids) but had a lot of surgery in my late teens relating to my periods, they got camera happy I think! Hopefully you will be preg and not have to go through any of that stuff!

Fingers crossed for O today/tomorrow and that you catch it on time :) I'm guestimating I'm due to ovulate 14th-15th although need to wait and see when the ewcm makes an appearance because I'm forever a day or 5 off! I'm interested in the temperature thing, do you have to do it at the same time every day? do you do it more than once a day and take an average?

Well I clearly remember the look on one friends face when she asked how did I know I was ovulationg, u start talking mucus and your friends .. well they look at you as if you have caught the crazies! safest option is just not to talk. My hubby, Mark is brill, but I consciously try not to talk to much about it, I had convinced myself I was preg last month, and I think it worried him a little... not because he thought I was crazy or anything, just had a fair idea I wasn't and like me was dreading the period! He's a good man, but I'm pretty sure mucus chat doesn't do much for him either! x

I temp around the same time each morning, give or take an hour. Do it first thing before you get out of bed. You can temp either orally or vaginally. I started out temping orally but my temps fluctuated a lot and my chart was kind of rocky. I switched to vaginally and they fluctuate less now.
Have you tried using opks? I find them very helpful. Temping really only confirms that you O'd. It doesn't let you know ovulation is coming. Opks are great for letting you know when you are most fertile.
