Anyone have any secretive family recipes that are tried and true?

Looking for some scratch recipes specifically.

Thanks!

I use Charmaine Solomon's cook books for really authentic home cooked curries from both Sri Lanka and India. I have tried a number of her recipes and they always turn out well and really tasty. I've tried her other dishes from the SE Asian region and they are great too.

Her recipes create curry's from scratch. She also lists the ingredients names as they are commonly known in the UK.

You can always modify recipes to suit your tastes.

The fresher the ingredients the better the curry, I say.

Excellent, I will have to look it up!

I agree about the freshness, my dh always gets ticked when I use his coffee grinder for spices :)

Thanks a lot!

If you want a few easy and really nice recipes I wholeheartedly suggest the Good Food site. I make a couple of recipes from that site each week and always fabulous!
