Losing large amount of blood :(

Thinking of you and baby. Baby looking awesome is a REALLY good sign and you're fantastic hands. Just rest and try and relax :hugs:

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through all of that, but I'm happy to hear that you were admitted to the hospital. You're in the best possible place to monitor and care for your situation. Wishing you and your little one all the best!

Thanks again everyone for all of the positive thoughts xx

I was sent home from the hospital yesterday. Had another ultrasound in the morning and things looked the same: baby still doing fine, but still having bleeding. The obgyn I talked to yesterday was not very positive and told me I should probably expect to miscarry this week. She said that this much blood loss at this gestation doesn't usually have a happy ending, and told me I could "wait it out" at home...

I'm still bleeding (this is day 3) but still don't have any cramping or any other "miscarriage" signs. I have a follow up with my midwife tomorrow to listen for a heartbeat, and a follow up appointment with the obgyn next Tuesday for another ultrasound.

I'm not giving up hope quite yet though. As long as baby is doing well, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed...

Thanks for all of the kind words and encouragement :flower:

Sorry things are so unsure. I think sometimes doctors give the worst case sanario so you are right not to give up yet. It must be hard to deal with not knowing where you are at. I had bleeding behind the placenta at 12 weeks with my 1st (but only a small amount) and the doctor told be to rest for 6 weeks. No bending, lifting, stairs etc. I dont know if it helped or not but it turned out okay for us. I remember finding a group online of ladies who had had simmilar problems and I found it helpful.

Def keep positive...many doctors av been proved wrong xxxx

So sorry your in limbo right now, I hope in the weeKS to come you baby get great news!! Xx

Dear Itsychick, so sorry to hear about this ordeal! Go for complete bedrest dear. I had subchorionic hematoma at 7 weeks and it resolved. I was advised rest, no lifting, pelvic rest. Not quite the same scenario, but there is absolutely no harm in doing so. I hope you got some outside help fr your young ones? I'm keeping my fingers crossed fr you! Xx

I have heard of some pretty severe blood loss when it comes to subchorionic hemorrage. It can't always be detected either during an active bleed. Women have bled for weeks and needed iron supplementation. I hope it is just an odd bleed that has nothing to do with baby.

I really hope your dr is proved wrong! Sending you :hugs:

Dear God, I pray for Itsychick. I bless her womb and her baby. I lift her up to you, that you would take away her fears and worries. Fill her with your peace. I pray for that You would stop the bleeding and heal her placenta / whatever the cause of the bleeding is. I pray that this baby will live and experience the love in the family that she/he is meant to be in. Nothing is impossible for you, we thank you for intervening in this situation. In Jesus name, Amen.

Doctors can be wrong!!
I was told I wouldn't be able to conceive without help. Wrong.
I was told I would loose this baby around 7 weeks. Wrong.
I was then told I would deliver before now. Wrong!

They're making their best educated guess but our bodies can do things unexpectedly! Prayers for you and your healthy baby!

Oh gosh, I hope you get a positive outcome. All this bloodloss can't be good for YOU either, I hope you're getting lots of care and monitoring.

I did have lots of bleeding with Thomas but it was more around 5 week, probably 4-5 pads a day for 7 days.

Still thinking of you and wishing for a happy outcome.

Ohh hunni sending you my love. I hope everything works out for you Hun. Baby is a little
