We shift our routine around a bit, but at the moment we do...
7am breakfast then bottle (she has half the bottle)
9am - rest of 7am bottle (or a fresh one if she wants it any later)
10am - snack & water (eg a rice cake or some plain yogurt)
11.30-12 - lunch
2.30 - bottle
5 - dinner
7pm - bedtime bottle
We feed lo a variety of pureed stuff that I make myself and we offer lots of finger foods now too - soft fruit, steamed veg, organix baby puff snacks, rice cakes & I've even made some savoury carrot & cheese cakes for lo to eat. Pretty much anything goes now I'm gaining confidence with finger foods (lo has been fine with them from the start but I found them quite scary!)
The need for follow on milk is debateable. We use it because lo doesn't care whether she has normal or follow on, because she only has three bottles now (it has extra vitamins & iron), and because it can be used to collect boots points! (Great parenting decision backed up by money back points offer!!!!
) But you don't have to use it. Try your lo on a carton if you're thinking of changing over and see what he thinks, some babies don't like the change in taste & some parents don't want to try it in case it upsets lo's tummy.
