low hcg count & spotting

this is my first pregnancy after a devastating miscarriage in August at 9 weeks 4 days after seeing what appeared to be a perfectly healthy baby, measuring great with a strong heartbeat so after going through that we were thrilled to have a positive pregnancy test this month! however, hcg counts are low. had my first positive test on 11/13, blood draw on 11/14 showed an hcg count of 126, checked again on 11/16 with a count of 259. so almost double, but still low, for the 5 weeks i estimate i am. i'm also having some light cramping and brown spotting, very intermittent, but it's still there. i'm freaking out & can't bear the thought of another loss. has anyone been in a similar situation with a positive outcome???

i haven't heard from the doctors yet, i was just able to see my results online. i assume i'll get a call from them on monday. do you have any idea what is good as far as progesterone levels go. they did a draw for progesterone and i am at a 31.6 but i have no idea whether that that is low, high, or ideal.

Your hcg level did double. and your progesterone level is great. I think they usually want it around 12-20. Everything sounds very positive, hon! Congratulations and just have faith!
