Hi All,

Me and DH have been TTC for 3 years with no luck. I went for an appt with the fertility nurse and had an internal scan which found I had PCOS. DH sperm count all fine. I am on my 3rd cycle of clomid and still no BFP yet.

I take clomid 50mg on days 2-6 - I have been given 6 cycles worth of clomid tablets. I am about to start cycle 4.

I was wondering what happens if after the 6 cycles I still haven't got a BFP. My fertility nurse is a lovely lady and when I asked this she told me to think positive before worrying about this. However on cycle 4 I am still worrying. I just wondered if anyone has had experience of this or knows what the next steps would be if I didn't get my BFP.

I know I shouldn't be worrying about this yet but if you're in a similar position to me then you know how difficult that is.

Really hoping for some advice please...
Many Thanks
Nikki :) xxx

Hi I think it very much depends on where you are and what their protocol is? I was initially given 6 months of the clomid but because I was ovulating on it my consultant said he wanted me to try it for 12 cycles and it worked on the 8th cycle. It is important to stay positive but easier said than done and I used to constantly wonder what the next step was. Really hope the clomid works for you! Sending loads of :dust::dust::dust::dust::dust: xx

Heya hun :hi:

I finished my six cycles of clomid and my consultant prescribed 6more with a view to going onto egg sharing if theyre unsuccessful. I have to pay for all of my treatment as I already have a lb. I tried for 4.5years for my son and had clomid to concieve him, I was successful on my first try :)

I have to say that Im about ready to give up and just go straight to the egg sharing but ur story mojo86 has made me wanna go for my 8th cycle thanx! xxx
