LTTTC BFP's by Mothers Day Thread! We Can Do This!!

Well I had my follow up appointment today.

If I dont get my bfp within a year I will be referred for ivf with another year on the waiting list. My consulant did say that everything now looks good though and thiinks there shouldnt be any problems in getting my bfp within the year, so its just a matter of waiting and hoping it happens. But for some reason I dont feel very positive about it all :(

Are you doing anything in that year to help you conceive? Clomid or anything? I can understand your feeling about not feeling positive about it. I'm pretty sure most women on the LTTTC boards feel the same way.

The idea of seeing a bright vibrant BFP is so nice.. but then actually feeling like you'll get it is the same as when you think about winning the lottery. Nice to think about, but seems unrealistic.

I hope everything works out and you get that sticky bean very very soon <3

I havnt been given anything to help get my bfp as I dont need it, all my other tests came back ok. The blocked tubes were causing the problems. I just so hope unblocking them has worked and that there isnt any other damage to them.

The prospect of possibly having to wait 2 years to start ivf is killing me. Its such a long time, but fingers crossed it wont come to that.

My mum did make me laugh though, we are spending christmas with her this year, i was telling her about my appointment yesterday and got onto the subject of ovulation and fertile times in my cycle and I told her it would over christmas lol, I still cant believe what she said to me, she said ' well you make sure you wear him out, dont worry I wont hear anything' (she wears a hearing aid) really mum??? I wouldnt be able to look her in the face, she migh not be able to hear us but she will know! Lol

I'm in! I am in a December group but I know my chances are almost 0. But this month progesterone has been kicking my butt! I'm on cd25 my length varies from 26-35days. I'm guessing this cycle will be longer.

May 11 is Mother's Day here!

Good luck ladies. I tested Monday at 10 dpo with a neg. I was going to test every other day but instead I've decided to just wait it out. If I go this far, I will test Christmas Day.

Hahaha your mom sounds awesome!! I've heard so many women get pregnant very soon after clearing blockages, so hopefully that the case for you as well :)

*sigh* I'm out this month, but here's hoping that our IUI appointment in Jan gives us some good news, like them saying that we can start the next cycle instead of having to wait....

I'm out this month too. I have an appointment with my practitioner Jan 10th. I'm curious to see what she will recommend.

Sorry to hear you guys are out this month :(

It seems quite a few of us are getting treatments done in January, so hopefully that's our month! :)

I will be having an appt with my gyno in January & will probably be sent off to a specialist...so I am looking forward to the new year even if this month is not my month. I just feel like I am moving forward finally after being hesitant for so long.

Mothers Day still doable!

Even if Jan isn't our month we have a few months to get things ready! :D

We CAN do this!

Iv never really used OPK's before, just on and off but I have been using them this cycle, and I must say its pretty exciting seeing that 2nd line get darker as the days go past hehe

I've never used them either, no point if your cycles are 6 months long haha. I'll have to start though once I start Clomid in January.. I know nothing about them though. How exactly do they work?

Basically the regular ones have 2 lines. Once the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, you are due to ovulate I believe 36-48 hours. Usually you start testing CD 10. Some women test twice a day (AM/PM)...that is to be sure they catch the surge. You are taking a test that picks up the lh surge letting you know you should be ovulating. Some women do not like the lines so they buy digital which can cost more. Some buy the real cheap ones online. Personally, I would still with the ones from the store. I hear of a lot of confusion on the cheap ones. I have never had much of a problem, but I also am not one to over analyze a test. I use the clear blue monitor...it can be pricey to start with but I like it a lot more. You may want to research if that is something within your budget. I feel like it eliminates a lot of confusion & you only test once with fmu. I did not get a peak last cycle, so I may use opks as a back up. Also on clomid, you need to be careful when you start testing. You can find out on google, but I believe you have to wait about 5 days after the last pill. Otherwise you may get a false positive. I believe the clear blue tests & the monitor are not effected by the clomid...but they just cost more.

Can you tell this is not my first rodeo? :)

WOW! Thanks so much for all of that information. I was gonna ask my OBGYN, but I feel you gave a way better explanation than he could have lol. I swear so many women on here could get an honorary degree in fertility aha

How are you girls doing?
Hope you all had a good christmas :)

Doing good! Excited for my OBGYN appointment in 2 days. The first appointment that we're getting "aggressive" so he says. I'll be starting Provera so I can finally schedule my HSG! Although I doubt it will take the full Provera dose to work.. AF feels like it's been around the corner all week, super sore boobs (always been my AF sign). Going to take an HPT before the appointment just to make sure it's AF signs. At CD 65 it doesn't seem likely that I'll have conceived, but who knows!

I hope everyone else is doing well, happy new year everyone! 2014 is the year we get our sticky beans! <3

I've started fertilitea this cycle. Waiting on an appt myself on the 6th. Until then, doing the tea. Got a high on my monitor, so I am officially in the fertile time...& my husband is off for a few days.

Happy new year lovelys!
Good luck with your appointments girls!

I *think* I am on the 2ww now, I was doing opks and they started to get dark but missed doing them for a couple of days and now they are getting lighter so fingers crossed we caught that little egg!

So my monitor shocked me with peak today. So my fertile window has gotten smaller....but I'm getting on it.
