So my monitor shocked me with peak today. So my fertile window has gotten smaller....but I'm getting on it.

Sooo, I had my OBGYN appointment. I start Provera tomorrow to bring AF (can't start it until he calls me with my blood work to say that I'm not pregnant), and then I start my first round if Clomid!! I was supposed to have an HSG first but he decided he will wait until after we see how the Clomid works I'm super excited, I hope this first round is the right dose

I was supposed to have an HSG first but he decided he will wait until after we see how the Clomid works I'm super excited, I hope this first round is the right dose

I definitely got on it last night. I also did a baking soda douche. Never did that before. But it is supposed to make the environment less acidic. I figured I would give it a shot. So I did that about 2 hours before, then preseed about 15 minutes before. Husband usually doesn't like the preseed but I think with everything I was doing, there was plenty of lubrication so things went very well. My monitor gave me another peak today, but my opks are negative. So I plan to do another session tonight & maybe even the next day for good measure. Not supposed to because of his low count, but no one seems to agree on whether you should abstain a day or go every day. So I am all in this cycle. It is the last one before we get actual help outside of my gyno. My appt with her is Monday. I am def staying positive & I feel good.

So excited for you on the clomid. I really hope the first time gets it for you. Another one of my people on here was on 25 mg...got a pos the first month on 50 mg. Unfortunately it was a chemical. Be prepared for some normal O dates (usually around CD 12-16). Be careful with opks too close to when you take the pills. And tell the husband to watch out for the hormones!

Yeah he told me not to bother with OPKs and wrote down when my fertile window should be if I ovulate. Looks like I won't need Provera though, I'm CD 68 and AF decided to show up on it's own. Perfect timing lol.

Im feeling really confused, af is due at the weekend, I have been having cramps today which would tell me the bitch is on her way, however because I wasnt sure if my cycle would go back to normal after my lap and dye I have carried on doing opks. What is confusing me is my opks still have dark second lines?? Wtf is all that about??
Gonna try and hold out until the weekend to test if af hasnt shown up by then.

Are you still BDing, just in case? Maybe Lap and dye screwed with your cycle and pushed ov way back... though, I have heard opks can pick up HCG in the system sometimes, in addition to LH surge.... Did you opks ever become negative?

I would keep BDing, just to be on the safe side and cover your bases. You're going to wait until the weekend to test? You must have a ton of will power.

I took my last pill of Clomid today (CD 9), and my GYN said my fertile window is CD 11-17 if I ovulate, which I have been unable to do on my own. Today my BBT dropped HUGE. I know that if it drops, and then spikes it means you ovulated. If tomorrow my temp spikes, does that mean I O'd early? Can an early O prevent me from getting pregnant?

I'm really confused..

Also did not have any O signs. So I had to of O'd when the monitor said. This first cycle off clomid I also O'd around CD11. I think my other 2 clomid cycles were pretty normal days around CD 15. The only thing I can say is try to get some baby making sessions in just in case. And then just see how your chart goes. The only bad thing about an early O is the egg may not be mature enough. But that is not always the case. Also the clomid could be affecting your temps. So try tonight...then keep it up through CD 18 or so for good measure.

Alright, thanks so much. DTD isn't really an issue for us, so hopefully we catch it. We usually DTD every day. Last night is the first time this cycle that we didn't, I was super exhausted and fell asleep on the couch lol

If your temp spikes and stays up for the next three days, you ov'd early. If it spikes, but then comes back down for the next two days, it usually means your body tried to ov and it didn't quite make it or it's preparing to ovulate.

I have this sometimes too (around CD8). I usually ov around cd11-13 though. I mentioned this to my FS and he didn't seem to think it was a problem. I don't think early ov should keep you from getting pregnant.

If you go to Fertility Friend and go to the Charts link and search for pregnancy charts with ovulation between 8 and 10 DPO, there's a quite a few there with early ovulation. So, try not to worry about it. Your temps the next few days will make things more clear.

AFM- Just had my IUI appointment a few days ago. We're all booked in for February. The nurse is on holiday next week, so I couldn't go in at the end of this cycle, but one more after that and we'll be moving forward on this TTC train.

My temps have been crazy this month. I'm not sure what's going on with them. They're much lower than I'd expect them to be, but maybe I've been sleeping with my mouth open. I'm still having symptoms despite this, which is a good sign, and some of them are different than normal. But after TTC for so long, it's harder to be positive about things. I'm due to stop progesterone on the 13th, so I'll be testing then...Hoping for something good.

I think Mother's Day is reachable still! Had my appointment Friday. I'm having a HSG start of next cycle (2weeks or so) then hopefully a lap. I'm thinking of waiting til March for that but we'll see! Then once lap is done I'll start on new meds to increase estrogen to help with O. Hopefully this will work!

How's everyone else doing? Dottie did you figure out if you O'd?

And no I didn't, my next temp was the exact same and today's was even lower. My chart is now a part of my signature It's looking really odd but that could just be from the Clomid.

My progesterone came back, and the Clomid worked!! I did ovulate!! I can't believe 50mg worked for me! I'm so happy!

Judging by my chart, I'm 10DPO today.. I took an HPT but it was negative. If AF isn't here by the 31st I get to go for a blood test. I'm so excited that I actually have a real chance for once

That is awesome! I think with the BD schedule you had, you have a great chance. So glad you found the egg! And as if you don't already know, but 10 dpo is super early. Another lady I know here had a neg on 14 dpo & was so sure she was out, then got a faint line on 15 dpo. So glad they are giving you a blood test. For me, the clomid extended my cycle to about 30-32 days.

I am waiting to O, with a possible IUI this week. But there are some obstacles. For one, we are only using opks & then call when we get a pos to come in the next day. However, I have a fear I will O closer to Fri & my office is closed the weekend. The other issue is snow is on the way. So as it sits now, my work may close early tomorrow, all day Wed, & delay on Thurs. This means there is a possibility the dr office will also be unavailable. I am taking opks twice a day plus using the fertility monitor. I am just so hoping for an early O. I don't think I can push my luck for a late enough O. Not to mention stress at work because of the end of the month & possibly being closed. So much to catch up on after being on vacation last week. I hope things work in my favor.

Hearing that women have gotten BFNs on DPO14 before their BFPs make me feel so much better. I guess I need to stop fixating on the women who get their BFPs early at 9-10 DPO.

I think it is way more common to get a positive after AF...or people have their O day wrong. I have another person who was 10 days late before getting the positive. You can find several stories about people not getting a pos until late. If I remember right, you have whacky cycles??? probably why the dr office is letting you come in for blood work so early. My dr says to wait a week after AF if I don't get a pos hpt. I was also told hpt are worthless...lol...not sure I agree. But I guess my dr office sees a lot of false negatives.

Also remember if you feel like AF is coming, that is not a dead sign either because tons of women feel like AF is coming but instead they get a pos hpt!
