I'm on CD 16 of my first cycle with Femara and Ovidrel. US today shows one follicle on my right side measuring 18x13. Two more on the left around 12. I'm not familiar with the ideal follicle size before trigger. Anyone have experience and know more about this? I've read that Ovidrel helps them mature a little more as well?

They sound good. My most mature follicle was 20 when I triggered. With femera you usually don't get more than one really mature follicule. The downfall of this medication vs clomid. I found out this month. If my iui doesn't work this month we will be going back to clomid to get more follicules

RE had me wait til yesterday to trigger. If I don't get a BFP this time, RE said we would increase my dose to 7.5mg to see if we would get more follicles... But just like you said it seems most people only get one mature follicle. I had terrible side effects with the clomid but I would do it again if it meant more follicles.

Best of luck this cycle with IUI!

I know I had horrible side effects too! But oh well it will be worth it! Might go ahead and take your best chances and get iui done!

Hi Jai Me! I triggered the day before you, 2/7! I had some very obvious ovulation cramping on the side of my dominant follicle all day on Sunday, I was so excited! One thing I thought was strange, and sorry in advance for the TMI... But the day before my trigger and then again today, I have produced big blobs of EWCM. I don't often see this so I'm glad for it.... But I never noticed any during ovulation? Did it just take a while to come out or should DH and I still :sex: :sex: ? We already BD'ed friday-monday, I thought that would give us the best shot! How many DPO are you waiting to test?:haha:

We will do this for three cycles of no BFP, then move on... Hopefully to IUI.

:dust:

I'm also with you ladies. I'm on 5mg of femara + ovidrel trigger. This is my second cycle.

My first cycle, I developed 4 follicles - at the CD12 check they were 11mm, 2 at 14mm and one at 15.5; estradiol was only 91. I triggered 3 days later. Negative.

This cycle I went in on CD12 yesterday and had one at 23mm and one at 21.3mm (plus a few immature); estradiol 222. They had me trigger last night. So, praying that since there were two "mature" follicles, one on either side, that the swimmers will find at least one of them. They mentioned a chance of multiple - "risk" warmly welcomed.

I'm praying we all get some good news from our current cycles!

Hey Ladies! Sorry
I have been super busy and have not had the time to get on. I am still hanging out during the last week of my TWW, I am planning to test 2/23, Although, I may wait because AF isn't really due until later next week. But we shall see! How is everyone??

ProfWife- those follies and estradiol sound great! Hopefully this is your month! I know what you mean about the welcome "risk" of multiples! I'll take as many as I can get.

I'm so anxious to test, I think I might test on 2/18- 10DPO. Is that too early? I've had enough practice with the TWW that I should be more calm at this point but i can't help it! Props to you ladies waiting to test. I am having a little bit of breast tenderness but that could easily be a sign of AF to come.

Please keep me posted on your progress! Praying for everyone to get the BFP we all want!

Tenderness can be from the hCG shot, too.

Some women still have residual hCG in their bodies up to 11 days post shot, according to one source I have. Make sure you're beyond that threshold. And keep in mind that some beans don't even implant until 11/12dpo. Which means you wouldn't get a positive until a few days after. Weigh it and your emotional availability to cope with it.

ProfWife- Thanks for the good advice. I'm going to wait until Sunday to test again. I had completely forgotten that breast tenderness could be a side effect of the Ovidrel. I did test on Sunday.... Just to torment myself and I didn't get a second line at all. I'm wondering if that means the hcg is out of my system and that the tenderness could actually be unrelated?

Segs- are you on progesterone suppositories? Those can make breasts tender. Or even Femara and clomid make you ovulate and sometimes have high progesterone levels which can make breasts very tender too! So hard to read into any symptoms when on any fertility medicine.

No line would mean the testable amount is out of your system, but the body reacts in strange ways to the after effects.

My tenderness kicked in today. That's normal for me post-ov though. I normally swell up and get very tender.

No progesterone suppositories. Wouldn't it be nice if AF and pregnancy symptoms were completely different?

I'm going to wait a few more days then test. Looking forward to hearing what happens with your cycles as well. Saying a prayer for everyone.

Hey Ladies. Just wanted to chim in. Still hanging out waiting to test. I have not had an urge to want to test until today. But I'm still hoping and planning to wait until Monday. 2/23, I had some breast tenderness as well. But I had read the hcg would cause that too! You know my face had started breaking out after taking Femara and its finally starting to clear up. I don't normally have this problem, so I'm just blaming the meds for now. But no idea. DH thinks its from the weather. ?????
Well good luck to you ladies, I hope we have some good news from one of US soon!!!! I have really got my hopes up this cycle, which I feel like I should know better. After TTC for so long and nothing. But I am just so hopeful right now.
Well baby dust ladies!!!
:) :) :) :) :)

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is doing well and weathering the TWW as best as possible. I said I was going to wait to test, but I couldn't. I tested Wednesday and Thursday, 10-11DPO. I had a completely negative hpt on 7DPO. I used clear blue's the last two days and got VERRRRRY faint positives. I'm still having breast soreness and cramping as well. Don't know whether to take this as a good sign or whether there truly is some left over hcg in my system from the trigger and the first test didn't pick it up? I'm testing again today using CB and FRER.

Fingers crossed for you!

I had my progesterone check today - 14.2. It was a day earlier than I should have done it (they claim they don't do blood work on Saturdays...odd...I had my blood work done last Saturday!). So, considering I'm not even at a week post trigger and no where near a week post ov (only 4dpo), I'm not overly worried.

My IC tests finally came in the mail yesterday, so daily testing has commenced. Ovidrel trigger was still in my system as of today. Last cycle it took 8 days to get out completely. I want to make sure it dwindles to basically nothing so I know I can trust any positives I might see later.

How's everyone else doing?

Today is 13DPO/ 14DPT for me. I've been testing since 10DPO with CB Plus and FRER. My FRER's get a little darker each day, but my CB's don't seem to be progressing the same way? They are faint and for the first few days got darker, but today's looks much fainter. I've always heard good things about the FRER tests and it seems CB's are a little less popular because they give mixed results. Anyone have any recommendations on which tests to use? I'm thinking about getting a digital today and seeing if that gives a clear answer.

If you're getting a positive, even a faint one, I'd call your RE for a blood test. It's the most reliable - ask for a quantitative and not just qualitative. They'll probably pull progesterone, too.

Excited to see how this turns out!

Any updates??

I'm going in for a blood test in the AM. I've had 12 positive tests, most of them getting darker each time. But this morning I had a negative digital. Hope it's just a dud. However the one right before that was not as dark as the rest. Saying a prayer and keeping my fingers crossed. Hope everyone is doing well and has good news!
