Maybe you can put down my random worry, that the saline/dye left over from the procedure would affect the sperm and reduce our chances? Can't find anything on it, and kinda just hoping it was all gone in time lol.
You two have just given me some hope - I have my HyCoSy next Thursday which *should* be just before I am due to ov and I was wondering if I was ok to start trying straight after the procedure (as obviously we have to abstain before the procedure is done). I was taking a peek at your other thread but you girls are about a month ahead of me so didn't want to intrudeHeres_hoping - i had the same fear! i googled like crazy and couldn't find anything one way or the other - but i wasn't told not to BD (which we did just 5 hours after)
From what I have read though, if a tubal blockage contributed to the infertility issues then some people say there is a slightly increased chance of conception for 3 months after a HyCoSy or HSG
Yes I heard that too about the increased chances, perhaps even if there wasn't an actual blockage, but it cleaned out the tubes. Good luck with your hycosy......take someone with you if you can to hold your hand, it wasn't agony, but it was quite uncomfortable for me and I was glad my hubby was there. It is over very quickly and well worth it for either answers, or reassurance. We bd that night, and the next night, got temp rise on the wed after hycosy on mon x
