MA and Voluntary Work

Can you still claim Maternity Allowance and do 1 day per week voluntary work where you are not paid at all........?

How about doing a college course from home via distance learning......?

Will any of that count as work? Will any of that affect the Maternity Allowance?

Yes, voluntary work counts as work, you will have to let HMRC know, I am not entirely sure how it affects your MA though. Distance learning should be okay, as I take it you wont be doing it full time? nor receieving any financial help for it?
