What do you do to maintain some normalcy while ttc?
It can be such a long, dark, all encompassing process, sometimes it's hard to maintain your normal life.
What do you do for yourself?

Relationships can sometimes feel strained too, what do you do to keep them strong when it feels like you have nothing in common anymore (with friends who all have children and haven't been through infertility)?

I am not in quite the same boat, but I was diagnosed with PCOS in April and after what seemed like hundreds of doctor and clinic visits, blood tests, periods and other tests I got my BFP last month. Although it was only 7 months from diagnosis to BFP, at the time I felt completely hopeless and almost let myself slip into depression because of it.

When having a baby becomes a case of "if" rather than "when", it is one of the most crushing blows a woman can experience and it's no wonder normal life takes a backseat, so you're not alone. It feels like everything hinges off that and it's hard to stay positive. I had major ups and downs, and telling you to stay positive isn't going to help because it's something you have to feel yourself.

The only practical advice I can offer (and I truly believe this helped me) is to optimize your lifestyle. Not only does it give you the best chance of conceiving, but it also gives you something to focus on. I'm not overweight or unhealthy but I changed my diet completely and researched vitamins and minerals vital for healthy fertility. On top of that I started exercising more and enjoyed becoming fitter. All of that has fallen by the wayside now that I'm pregnant (oops) but it really genuinely helped me mentally and physically at the time.

Good luck! x

P.S. completely understand about the relationship part as well. I was in a strange situation where I was pushing my husband away with my manic behavior and sex on demand, but then trying to win him over at the 'crucial' times! He was stressed, and it stressed me out even more, I felt like I was letting him down by not being pregnant.
