*mangotango's* TWW Buddies with BFPs Due March 2014 (Everyone Welcome)!!

Massive congratulations! So happy for you! Really hope this is a sticky bean for you :)
How are you feeling? Any symptoms started yet or is it too early? X

Thanks! I don't have any major symptoms this early. I feel slightly queasy momentarily when I first wake up or if I wait too long to eat and I'm very, very irritable. It feels like PMS x 1000000! :haha: I'm also extremely tired so I've been going to bed super early every night. I am hoping some more promising symptoms (ie sore boobs) kick in soon!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats, Literati!!!! Hello, 2014!!!!!

This news made my day!

Cloe, I'm so jealous. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes a week ago (wonderful during the holidays by the way) so my diet has done a 180. Mind you my baby shower is in 5 weeks at an Italian restaurant. Wheat pasta? Really? Ugh.

On a better note, I'm not sure if you all recall but I lost my job earlier in the fall and was devastated. Well, it looks like my prayers were answered as I was offered a better job with much better pay and a higher title. They also know I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant and will give me full maternity leave with a temp to cover until I return! God is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear you were diagnosed GD!!! A change in diet is probably the healthiest step you can take for your and your baby's health at this point.
With Lo#1 I wasn't diagnosed with GD, but I have a feeling I will this time. This pregnancy feels so very different and I am overall much heavier than I was with my first. I really don't know what determines whether or not you have GD. Is it really just a matter of bad diet???

I am really excited to hear about your new job offer! This is really amazing!!! :happydance:

Amber - Sorry to hear you were diagnosed with GB. That would definitely not be fun in pregnancy when all you want to do is indulge a little! I hope you are able to keep it under control so that you and baby are healthy as can be. :)

That is AMAZING news about your new job offer! That is just terrific! You deserve it so much and I'm so glad that you can even go on maternity leave and have it waiting for you when you return!! :hugs:

Cloe - GD definitely isn't just a matter of bad diet. A lot of it is genetic factors and I don't think it's anyone's fault for getting it. I hope you don't have GD even though you think you might.

Amber - amazing news about your job! :)
Sorry to hear about the GD though :(

Literati - how's the pregnancy going?

I can't believe I'm in the third trimester now! Starting to get tired and fed up already and still have to work until Feb! Thank goodness I only work 2.5 days a week plus DS is starting nursery 2 mornings a week in Jan so that will be a little break.
I'm getting all the bump size comments that really annoyed me last time! Why does everyone have an opinion and want to discuss your size?! It would be acceptable if I wasn't pregnant! Ha ha!
Hope you're all well ladies and organised for Christmas xx

Moolia -

My pregnancy is going well (to my knowledge, anyway). Morning sickness kicked in this past Thursday so now I have all day nausea. Yay! ;) I'm actually quite relieved as I never got a chance to get sick last time.

Wow, I can't believe you're in the 3rd tri already either! Sorry to hear you are so tired out and not wanting to keep working! That is very understandable. Are people commenting on your bump being so "big" or so "small"? It really is unacceptable that people think they can comment on the size of your stomach (or body) when you're pregnant. I wish people would just buzz off! I try to just tell pregnant people that they look great.

I'm definitely looking forward to Christmas! Do you all get any holidays? I get a week and a half off which will be lovely.

Hope everyone had a great holiday! A lot of us are in the home stretch now!!!! IT's crazy how this time has flown. I am on bed rest now as I have been showing signs of pre-eclampsia. Yikes. Hoping I can carry him at LEAST until 35 weeks.

Amber - Yikes! That is scary that you are at risk of pre-eclampsia. Pregnancy sure isn't easy, is it? I hope you are at least getting some enjoyment from bed rest. I always sort of thought that a short amount of bed rest as long as nothing was too serious would be kind of nice. I hope you're watching lots of fluffy tv/movies and maybe getting some reading done if you enjoy that! I'd imagine it's frustrating now being able to get out much. Do you have all your baby stuff already? I certainly hope you can last until at least 35 weeks as well! I hope you and baby stay healthy, safe and sound in these last several weeks.

AFM - As far as I know, things are going well. I had my first u/s last Wednesday and we saw a nice, steady heartbeat and the baby was measuring perfectly. That doesn't stop the anxiety, of course, but I am very thankful for the good news. We should get to hear the heartbeat on the 27th.

How is everyone else doing on this home stretch?

I just turned 33 weeks and I think the nesting bug just bit me hard. I spent all weekend cleaning, washing baby clothes and this afternoon I finally cleaned up my breastpump and bottles.

Next weekend we will get started with the nursery (setting up the crib etc.), so we will be ready for Lo#2 between 35-37 weeks. Might still be a bit early, but you never know.... :)

Still having really bad sciatica, but I am using a therapeutic bouncing ball to help align my pelvis and get baby into a better position. :)

In regards to cravings.... a really strong craving at the point is milk, cucumber and romaine lettuce. Strange ha??? :p

Hope everyone else doing great!

Big hugs!!!!

Cloe

Glad you're doing well, Cloe! That is a very strange craving! Hahah. Sorry to hear about your sciatica. :hugs:

I am so happy for you that your pregnancy is going well and wish you a happy and very healthy one!!!

Yes, you can say that. I could devour the romaine lettuce in whole bunches. It just tastes sooo goood! Milk, oh yes, I need to have at least two big glasses every day. Sometimes as a smoothie and sometimes just straight up milk.

Introducing Colton James, CJ. Born Jan 17 at 8:37p...on his fathers birthday.

Oh my goodness, Amber, I can't believe he came so early! Pregnancy really is so unpredictable, isn't it??

He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Is he doing ok? Does he need to stay in the hospital for a while? How are you doing as a new momma? I am so happy for you! :hugs:

Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe he's here! What a surprise!!!
He is so handsome!!! How are you feeling?

How did you know that something was wrong? I hope you are all doing alright!
Sending my best wishes to you!!! :hugs:

Hi Ladies!

Just wanted to check in on how everyone is doing. I still can't believe I will be considered "early-term" by the end of this week. Almost 37 weeks, yay!

Sleeping at this point is rather uncomfortable I have to admit and I have lots of pressure in the lower region.
I still have my GBS test ahead of me. My midwife will probably do that next week and I am crossing my fingers for a BFN!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I was told that I am anemic and I now have to take an Iron supplement for the coming weeks. In regards to cravings, not much going on there except for frozen raspberries, milk (lots of milk) and ice cubes.... :)

How is everyone else doing??? :D

Can't wait to hear from you all!

Cloe

Glad you're doing well, Cloe! I hope you are negative for GBS! Sleeping does sound like it'd be very uncomfortable when you're so far along. Hang in there - not long to go now!

I am safely out of the first trimester now and things are going well (pregnancy-wise). My personal life is a bit of a disaster at the moment but hoping everything gets fixed up before the baby comes. You can tell I'm showing only if I wear a really tight shirt to emphasize it, but in general I just look "thick" and like I've put on a few pounds. :p

Hi ladies,
Sorry I've not checked in in a while! Amber - congratulations! What a cutie :) Hope he is doing well, and you of course.
Literati - so pleased you are in the second trimester and doing well. Hope your personal issues resolve soon. Have you had a scan recently? Are you going to find out the sex?
Cloe - I feel the same as you about nearly being term and about the sleep issues! I'm so uncomfortable at night, what with: restless legs, heartburn, indigestion, aching abdomen, baby kicking and poking, SPD, and now a horrible cold! The joys of pregnancy! ;)
Tomorrow is my last day at work and I am looking forward to resting and nesting!! My DS keeps talking about the baby so I'm hoping he'll be excited to meet his sister :)
Cloe - we don't get a GBS test here! :( good luck with yours.
Xx

Moolia - I haven't had an u/s since almost 10 weeks and I will not have another til 20 weeks. I definitely plan on finding out the gender if we are able!

It sounds like things get very uncomfortable towards the end! Yikes! Hopefully now that you're off work you can get so extra rest. I'm sure you must be thrilled to finally be on mat leave! Have you bought absolutely everything for the baby yet? Have you had/will you have a baby shower?
