MAT B form

HIya me again,

as my work arent paying me mat pay, so im getting SMP, my work have given me back my mat b form and i have to send this to my local job centre, anyone else had to do this, and what happens next and how do they pay you? xxx

Its mat pay if you don't get it from work and SMP when you do get it from work!! So confusing lol

work will need your mat b1 form so they can give you an smp1 (which tells the job centre that they wont be paying you SMP) and you need a MA1 form from the job centre and you give them that the smp1 form and your matb1!!!

the ma1 form asks for bank details and they contact you to say if you can get the mat pay from them!! you also need 13 weeks of original payslips as proof of earnings that you send to them!!!

Yeah i got both of them and i have to send them to my local job centre, i just wondered then what happens, as never done this before and not much info found on websites, as i dunno how much im gonna get paid and when it starts etc xxx

They'll send you a form to say what they're going to pay you and you have to return a bit of it to them when you go on mat leave and they'll contact you to say when thay're gunna pay you!!!

Standard rate: £123.06 or 90% of your average gross weekly earnings if this is less than £123.06.

They messed mine up and paid me a month early then when i wanted it to start then they had to pay me a lump sum to make up the money i'd missed. They don't always start on the date you ask there can be delays but they pay you as soon as you can.

Make sure you sort it out soon as hun cos i sorted mine in january and i only just got it sorted with my back pay 2 weeks ago....my maternity started in March!!
And make sure u annoy them with calls so they sort it out lol!! xx

Ok thats brilliant, i will send this to them recorded delivery cos im scared this will get lost and i had to pratically fight my MW to give me the mat b form!!!
