Maternity Allowance

i'm really petrified about this... my employer decided to wait until they posted out my final pay slip last week (Friday being the last day of the month and therefore payday), to let me know i wasn't entitled to SMP... i immediately filled out the MA claim form and got it in the post on Friday. I will now not receive a single penny until my MA starts... I'm living with mum and dad, but they can't afford for me to live here free and had already told me that once the baby is here, i will have to leave. I can't even imagin wha sort of a mess i will be in if it really takes 2/3 months to come through.

This is really concerning!
