May mummies 2009 - a place to keep in touch

Hi danapeter, I remember you. Hope you and your lil girl are doing well xx

I really should get on here more often, to keep in touch with you all x

Took Dexter for a weigh in today. He's an ickle 18lb 2oz :haha:

He's also now walking, yay! :happydance: It's just clicked these past few days and he's walking 90% of the time :D

Oh my god.. i havent been here for ages and this thread is still running!! WOW!!

Hia everyone!
Erica turned one yesterday! Whats everyone doing for bubas' birthday?

monkeh... ericas wont be long.. shes attempting to walk.. its mad isnt it, they are all one, or nearly one already

alexs birthday went in April :D We had a few members of family oer for a little party.

I'm having a little family gathering for Dexter's birthday in my Mum's back garden :D Was going to have a bigger party and invite loads of little kiddies, but it'd probably freak him out so I'm just having close family members round.

I'm toying with the idea of getting him one of those bounce and spin zebras, cause my cousin's wee girl has one and Dexter plays with it every time we visit, he loves it. On the other hand though, he has tonnes of toys already so doesn't really need it :haha:

Awwww Arch has one of those and he loves it!

He cant really sit on it unaided yet but i sit him on and he bounces away and he loves standing up against it and bashing the spinny thing on the front that makes the music play.

We are having a garden party for Archie's birthday, hopefully the weather will improve by then! I am inviting quite a few little kids as Archie loves to socalise and my dad has bought him a swing for his birthday so that will be set up along with his slide and a ball pool. Just gonna let the kids go wild in the garden :)

Hi - you ladies were so helpful to me when I was pregnant so I thought I would pop back and see if you could help me with this query.

My DD dropped her bottles (apart from one at night) at 8 months. I've been giving her a lot of diary products to make up for it. But my query is how much liquid should she be drinking? I offer her diluted juice/water from a sippy cup constantly throughout the day but she mostly pushes me away. Only occasionally when she's really thirsty does she grab it and glug away.

Consequently she only has about half a sippy cup of liquid a day and nothing else. She's not dehydrated, she has good nappies and seems happy enough but I'm sure she should be drinking more.

I've introduced a doidy cup hoping this will help - she only wants a few sips before she throws it over herself!

I think as long as you know shes not dehydrated then shes likely taking enough :)

Dexter was the same with taking water/juice. He'd drink hardly any and had cut his bf down to twice during the day (though also morning, night, and twice during the night) Recently his fluid intake has gone right up though! He'll drink water all day long and hasn't dropped any feeds (in fact he's bf a lot recently too).

As long as your LO is happy and not dehydrated I'd say everything is fine :)

Also, eeeep! he's 1 tomorrow!!! Happy Birthday to Archie for tomorrow too :)

Thankyou hun, and happy birthday to Dexter!!!

This time last year i was nearly at pushing stage!! He was born at 1:30am

Dexter was born at 4:52am. I started pushing at 4:01am! This time last year I was stressed out, crying, and Dexter was in SCBU. Hopefully this year will be much nicer and less stressful!

I cant remember what i was doing this time last year, probably catching up on well needed sleep inbetween changing those horrible black nappies lol

Archie is enjoying his bday so far and his card has just been on Cbeebies :)

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY DEXTER & ARCHIE!!

We hope you have a lovely day and gets lots and lots of pressie's..

Chelsea is the same with her drinking atm.. she is a bit fussy on eating as well the past few days, so I was told that her dummy maybe appetizing her.. so I have tried to cut out her dummy through the day unless she is about to go down for a nap and FX it helps with her eating... she is only petite (like me and dad) and at 12months old (2weeks ago) she was JUST under the 3rd percentile for her weight... but as our local doctor said, she is not OVERLY worried as Chelsea came in happy, healthy and walking everywhere... she said it would have been a different story if Chelsea came in lathargic (sp?) and not doing much at all... which was NOT the case.. lol..

Hope everyone else is well, and I will also try and get on this thread more often...

Skye & Chelsea xx

Thanks ladies and happy birthday to Dexter and Archie - scary how time has flown. I was due this time last year and feeling terrible - I was 4 stone heavier than I am now and carrying a 10lb baby!
