Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Dentist was interesting Livi woke up screaming half way through my check up (i knew she would lol)
She's a bit of a minx with her feeding she likes it little & often which is very difficult to work school runs & things like the dentist around i fed her before i picked the kids up went straight to the dentist & she was hungry again half way through!
She cries alot bless her & i get fed up of the comments have u fed her? Course i've bleedin fed her :/
Maybe it's because i'm combine feeding her well she only really has 2 bf's the rest is formula? Any advice on how to get her to take more & go longer between feeds & be a contented quiet little baby lol?
She's not keen on a dummy it seems to frustrate her as milk doesn't come out of it ha ha x

It wasn't all that bad as soon as i picked her up she stopped typical just likes her cuddles x

They're still not happy with Livi's weight we just can't seem to provide them with perfect sized babies for them ey!

OoOo yey off to Paultons Park tomorrow should be fun it's due to rain heavily x

Aww bless Livi, id prefer cuddles then the dentist office too lol Not sure about the feeding though hun, how much formula does she take per feed?

Ive just got the sleepbags out for the first time. I havent used them yet just havent been sure about them but its nippy in this room tonight so thought id give it a try while he is still awake at least. I thought they looked huge but omg he has maybe 2 inches to spare at the bottom lol OMG he has just drifted off to sleep from being wide awake ha ha awww so cute!

Generally she takes 3oz sometimes only 2 & sometimes 4 she's just so unpredictable plus formula feeding is all new to me i always just bf the other 2, i always presumed ff babies would be more settled but it appears not hmmmm?

Livi is in her sleeping bag she seems to like it x

We are 3-4oz of mixed breast milk and formula wud. xx

Sounds like she is taking plenty hun, if she is needing so much so often would she not benefit from hungrier baby milk as that sits heavier on the tummy.

Yer i was thinking about that New she's not too young for that is she?
Didn't really wanna go down that route till her weight is on a nice stable gain x

3/4 hours in the day, usually 3, then the same at night with the odd 5 xx

wud - I read that hungry baby formula isn't reccomended til they are a bit older and draining 8-9oz every 2-3 hours to delay weaning, as with younger babies they need all the goodness from feeding so often with normal milk.

I personally thought hungrier baby was ok from birth BUT it has been a very long time since I used formula, last time I made feeds up I did them in bulk for 24 hours and thats a huge no no now lol Is her weight gain slow hun? Has your HV made any suggestions?

mummy 3 - we are doing well - slowly getting the hang of everything and i'm starting to feel more human how are you doing?

new - when I switched to FF Dylan I made a days worth in advanced too, making a fresh bottle during the night and waiting for it to cool was way to much for me

me and OH have finally decided to find out how much booking the registry office costs for our wedding. We won't book until we have fixed our problems, but tonight has been lovely

sorry ladies, dumb BF question here, but I dont know if my right boob is working properly. It is noticably smaller then my left, and it doesnt go as firm as my left one does. When George goes long periods between feeds, and he takes the left side then the right one will leak so I know it does produce milk, but since yesterday Ive noticed he is totally not satisfied after taking my right side, plus is goes very very soft after just 10 minutes max, and trying to listen he just doesnt sound like he is drinking and swallowing anything. He is also quite fidgerty and aggitated on the right side, yet calm and content on the left. This only happens when he is feeding 1-2 hourly, so might I not be filling up quick enough on my right side? I wasnt sure if I should put him on the right more to boost supply and make him ratty for the first 15 minutes of his feed then switch, or if Im imagining it and should just continue alternating?
