Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

 get a shed for her out back hun lol

George rolled that 1 time and has never done it since, nor has he attempted to try lol He doesnt even do it on the bed, which I believe is supposed to be easier for them?? lol Sounds like Elidh is starting to catch up, hope her development continues to improve :)

Im not having a bfp pmsl - although right now sounds like the only way I might lose the weight lol - I ended up having a banana but it was boring to I smoothered it in custard  oops!

the house is a little calmer now, Joshua is playing out and George has stopped being narky lol Infact he is chatty and content, i thought he was screaming at me because he had wind and was flapping about and fussing at the boob, seems he wanted his rice because as soon as I put his bib on (which was for some water lol) he stopped, smiled and opened his mouth lol Im think I may need to let the boy have it twice a day lol

:haha: Sounds like George is a boy who knows what he wants! Eilidh gets so excited too whenever a spoon comes her way lol. Does George get distracted at the boob? Last few days Eilidh has been on and off grinning at me:dohh:

Would love to put the mil in a shed! Tried to explain to the hubby that a week every month is WAY too often..

Pregnancy as a weightloss programme?! Rofl, you sure you not got that bfp already and craving things:winkwink:

milo's speech therapy just ended a little while ago. the speech therapist brought another speech therapist with her (she's never seen milo before). they just adore milo. he loved playing with them (though he tried running off a few times with her ball she brought lol). the lady who's never seen him before said "i'm just gonna throw this out there, get it off the table. it's possible he has autism" then the other therapist who is our normal therapist said that i already thought he had it. then she goes "oh really? and what were some of the other things that made you think that?"
the reason that lady brought up autism was because she was mentioning things that milo used to do, but then stopped doing (like drinking from a straw). and also, the lady brought blocks and he stacked every single one. he took the shapes from the sorter and took them somewhere else and stacked them. he was spinning, jumping and flapping (all at once).
so they said at the next visit they're going to bring one of the developmental pedi's that they use at EI to see what she thinks. then in october they'll send him to different developmental pedi that will do the official diagnosing.
they also said they want him to have private therapy after he turns two.

Thats great they're bringing in a developmetal pediatrician:thumbup: ours has just been awesome with Ruaridh, will Milo get occupational therapy? Hope you get answers soon hun, wish we had got Ruaridhs answers this early!

they did say that they would like him to get occupational therapy as well. and he's currently on the waiting list for a playgroup (to help with being social with his peers). she said hopefully he can get in in October. do you guys do private speech therapy?

No, he'll get some when he starts at the panda programme, he sees occupational therapy, physical therapy and the developmental pediatrician. He goes to the panda programme as of next week, its the school district special ed preschool, run through early intervention, do they have one where you are? I believe the kids can start just before they turn 3. With Ruaridh getting his diagnoses finally from the ped it was really easy to get him in although a bit of a faff going to the school a few times to hand papers and do some assessments twice. They do open days though where parents can just turn up to get their kids screened, you should have seen how packed that was

Ruaridhs issue with speech involves getting pragmatic speech therapy

Oh milos sound like they really going to get Milo the help and support he needs :) Thanks great news hun!

mummy, George gets a little distracted but the hardest bit is the new grab and play thing he has started doing. Im covered in bruises. He pulls at my breast and holds on tight since he learnt how to hold things lol He gets super excited by the spoon, and the bib lol He flaps and smiles and opens his mouth so wide lol

Just got back from sorting out the venue for Georges Christening :) I cant believe its a week on Sunday, its come round so quickly! The guy was doing me an awesome deal because I thought Joshua was part of the football team he sponsors. Turns out the team Joshua played for was their rivals  They play in the fields opposite each other, so when I said he plays near Cae Glyn, the guy assumed, and that was that :haha: I dont have a clue me its all just football. Anyways he kept the prices as they were so all is good. Hopefully my dad remembers to pick the cake up as thats been ordered from Manchester then we all set to go :)

Ooh you're at the pinching stage, make sure and keep his little nails short!:haha:

Thats great about the christening deal, lol at getting the wrong team! A week is going to fly by, cant wait to see piccies:happydance:

Omg if one of his nails catches me in the wrong place it hurts soooooooooooooo much!!! Least he stopped clamping down on my nipple when he needs to release bottom wind lol, now he just pulls himself off and laughs when it makes a kinda 'pop' feeling

I cant wait for the Christening, George's outfit is sorted, Joshua has another new shirt and tie to go with his suit lol and my dress is now hanging in the lounge ready :) Hope its a nice day though, its not the sort of dress that would go with a jacket or cardigan lol Priest is all set, and the shawl is ready. Venue now sorted, cake ordered I think i am organised lol

:D Sounds like everyone is doing really well!!

Bethany had her 3 month check today, I couldn't go as Dylann was REALLY naughty and wasn't going to take him out acting up like that, she is 11lb 15oz! My little chunk :cloud9:

Also had a letter from the council today just confirming about our banding change and the meeting, turns out the mrs crazy have been ringing the police LOADS about me  I haven't heard fromm the police so they must think she is off her head too. I did find out something very interesting about her, and once I know more I will post here, but lets just say this - if its true then revenge will be mine and that cow will truly get hit in the face by my good friend Karma

Wow new you are organised! You must be so excited, hope the weather behaves for you:hugs:

Wiggler, I really NEED to know what the crazies are up to! Ooh I hope they get whats coming to them:happydance: Bethanys doing so well and sounds a perfect size, I'd say more ickle than chunk tho!

I need to go out in about an hour and there's an excessive heat warning, which here means 110+ i have to go push a double stroller over a mile in that:nope:

Oh Wiggler you tease.. tell tell tell!!!! Bethany sounds like she is doing great, defintely not a chunk :) Hope Dyaln settles down for you hun!

Something very odd has just happened here... Im ordering leaflets and posters for Joshua's karate (they paying I just better at negociating lol). Anyways, I got a guy down to £12 for 50 A4 posters, so saved him, then carried on looking as I needed 10K leaflets so was hoping to get the small handful of posters free lol I didnt, but got an awesome deal on the leaflets, so I just got back to this guy after about 4 days to see if he can still do them for £12 (next nearest was £15), anyways he got back to me and said he revised his prices and could now do me 100 for £10 lololol How crazy is that man, I was clearly willing to pay £12 for 50 or I wouldnt have got back in touch pmsl oh well I got me a better deal now lol

Eek mummy! lots of sunblock and water!

new - lol thats brilliant!

OK heres the deal, I don't think they would be spying on me here. lol. I am 99% certain they are commiting benefit fraud, by what my friend as told me about the night mr crazy went into a coma (she kept saying "oh he's only staying overnight, he doesn't live here" to the paramedics - AFTER they were married) the fact that she hasnt updated her name on the electoral role and he isnt on it for their address points to BF. also HE has his mail sent to his parents house. I am going to report them a few days before I move, that way a few weeks later they will find out they are being investigated (heres the best bit) she will nt know who has reported her and she will start questioning her friends, family and even her own daughter about who grassed her up. cruel I know, but that cow has tried to have my son taken off me and reported me to the police numerous times and I want her to suffer!

wiggler- aww, bethany is about the same size as Ava. and she'll be 4 months in 11 days! lol.

mummy- they were also mentioning "family resources". i guess it's money they give us that we can use to buy developmental toys and such for special needs children. she was telling us to order a vibrating teether or toothbrush, becuase he puts everything in his mouth still (and she says he shouldve outgrown that by now). i'm not sure about the program. though i do know that milo can start special-ed preschool through EI next year right before he turns 3 (since his bday is so late in October). i know that EI services are free from 0-3 yrs. but idk if the private therapy they wanna set up will still be free until he's 3  the therapist said they might not even wanna diagnose him until he's 3. but i've seen a lot of people get the diagnosis before that age if they show enough signs and the pedi feels confident about it. i guess i just gotta wait 2 more weeks until his next session when they bring the doctor with them.

Geez, Wiggler. Bethany is NOT a chunk. Remember, she's a few days older than Anberlin and Anberlin was 14lbs 7.5oz yesterday!! Oh, and Go Get Em, GIRL!!

Milos - Hope you get the diagnosis and treatment you're looking for for Milo. I know the frustration of not having a diagnosis. If you have any autism-related questions, feel free to ask. I try to keep up to date on therapies and advancements, soI can do my best to offer support or look for answers for you.

New - A did the same thing; she rolled once at 7 weeks and never again. She's close though! Hope George gets it soon!!

Mummy - Sorry to hear of the news about Eilidh. I hope that she stays happy and healthy and that she catches up quickly, but just like I said to Milos, feel free to ask any questions or just say the word if you every need a shoulder. I'm almost 5 years into the special needs deal. It's not so bad.

brandi- the thing that worries me is that the pedi will dismiss ASD, while the therapists can see it. how likely do you think that is?

It's possible, but since he's seeing therapists and they see it as well, it's more likely that a diagnosis will be warranted rather than "thrown out". Usually, if it's a professional who suggests the possibility over a parent, a diagnosis is more often given.

We thought Zoe had autism, but that was quickly thrown out because she was "too social"...she would try to engage you in play, but wouldn't and still won't make eye contact, or play with certain toys correctly. She has autistic tendencies, but not enough to warrant even a PDD-NOS diagnosis.

Autism is like a 100-piece puzzle. There are different criteria needed to meet the different stages of a diagnosis. A PDD-NOS diagnosis is warranted when, for example, 32 out of the 100 criteria are evident. Asperger's when 33-70 are present, and full-blown Autism with 71-100. And they describe Autism like a puzzle because you could have two children with an Asperger's diagnosis, and each of them could meet 48 of the required criteria, but 7 of those criteria could be completely different, you know?

Autism is a puzzle with no edges, which makes it so interesting (to me, anyway). I love to study it and kids with autism are awesome and so much fun!

If he is diagnosed with Autism, don't settle with that diagnosis. There is new evidence that Autism is not just developmental, but genetic too. I know two of the Autism genes are SHANK3 and 22Q13.

Let me know if there is an autism diagnosis, and I'll get you the list of the other genes, if you were wanting to explore a possibility of a genetic cause.
