Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Okies ladies, please excuse me while I vent, waffle and rant a little lol

I just spoke to my sister a little while ago, she has 5 kids, 4 with her ex hubby and he hasnt seen them in over 4 years (mainly his fault). In those 4 years she has made numerous CSA claims, and every time she does he moves house, or quits his job etc and has basically paid very little for them. Anyways, 2 weeks ago contact is made between him and the eldest child through facebook, and after he spoke to my sister he agreed to a meeting this week. He turned up, and despite a bit of awkwardness apparently wasnt so bad. The youngest 2 dont really remember him, but the eldest 2 have missed him badly so it was quite important. During the meet he mention where he was now living, what he does for work etc, just small talk, only my sister has walked out of the meeting and made another claim to csa with the details. I know bringing up kids is not cheap, I do it on my own and its hard sometimes, but she knows he runs when it comes to money, and now the kids have met him she is risking him doing it again and the kids losing him all over again. I know technically its all his fault, but she knows if he runs she wont get the money, and then no one has won, least the kids stand a chance at a relationship with their dad. Who knows, in a few months once bonds are made, he may willingly offer up the money, or she can talk to him about it and use csa to make it all above aboard. With her its just about the money, and sod who gets hurt in the firing line.

I posted this in single parenting thinking they'd understand my view that the relationship is far more important than the money, but then I read a thread after I posted and dont think they'll see it my way lol They are moaning they only get £5 a week off csa, but they dont think they also get £20 a week CB and £35+ a week in CT plus if dad is paying £5 a week, so should mum so thats £65 a week that child brings in, the CB and CT isnt there to pay for bills, its there to get what ever need for the child, and more than covers nappies, milk, electric etc arghhh rant over! I'd give anything for Joshua to have a relationship with his dad, no amount of money can buy that bond!

:hugs: new I'm sorry you're in so much pain. Gallstones are just miserable, mine has been playing up lately ( I have 1 big stone) I know mine is related to weight loss and its worse for me if I haven't eaten for a while, can I just say I'm very grateful to vicodin and promethazine for when it strikes, they shift the pain and nausea:thumbup: I agree with you re your sisters kids dad. The situation with Joshua and his dad is similar to my eldest in that no support is given and there's no relationship.

We've had a fun day here today. Went to old town and mooched around the shops, found this gorgeous baby shop and Eilidh has a babgro ordered that the woman decorates organically using special paints and a potato! Ruaridh got a tie and some new shoes for school. Then we went to a cafe called the cider mill and had floats and pizza:cloud9:

new- :hugs: sorry to hear about your GB. i see a surgeon on tuesday to schedule to have mine removed. i went through this after milo and it sucks so bad. sometimes mine act up from just anything. things that trigger mine are butter, eggs, mayonaise, sometimes cheese, moutain dew (if you have that there, lol). anything really, and it sucks because i'm scared to eat!
and sorry to hear about all that trouble. i can understand that money is very important when you're single and trying to raise kids. but if she talks money the second he shows up, of course she's gonna scare him away! :dohh:

New- eggs do that to me- I've gotten to the point I just can't eat them at all- and it's better to cut them out now than to develop a full blown allergy, eggs are in friggin everything!
as to your sister, I have to disagree with you- I think he should have to pay and they should track him down when he bolts- of course, this coming from me who won't go after my daughter's father because I don't want to remind him she exists- but he sounds like a slime and maybe your nieces/nephews are better off without a relationship with him.

Milos- we keep the same hours around here- the earliest my hubby gets in is 11pm and we usually head to bed between 1-2. the nice part is the girls sleep til 9 or later :cloud9:

Awww mummy cant wait to see the baby gro :) Sounds like a lovely day there, hows the heat?

Milos I hope they do the surgery soon so you feel better quickly! Mummy is it really bad if you havent eaten opposed to eating the wrong thing? Mine has been a cow all day today and I had cereal for breakfast and 2 bananas for lunch, thats it, but Ive been carrying munchkin round in his baby carrier all day so I dont know if that has contributed  Will see my GP this week and see what his plan of action is, hopefully get it sorted before it gets to a point I cant cope.

heyy I LOVE your avatar, those girls of yours are so so adorable!

Had a great day with the boys today, Joshua's karate group had a trip out to the zoo, and we had a really lovely day. Joshua felt so grown up being allowed to go round with his friends and not me, and George wow he chuckled so so so much at the chimps it was so cute :cloud9: none of the other animals really took his fancy lol he slept loads, but the loved the chimps :) lol

New, yep its definately triggered by having not eaten enough for me. I need to be brave and go schedule the surgery :dohh:

Heat wise its in the low 100s, about 106 today and it peaks at 4pm so we managed to wander about a bit yesterday by going early. Had to clean today, boo!:haha: Eilidh had her first taste of sweet potatoes and wow she couldn't get them in fast enough!

Aww George sounds like he loved his trip to the zoo and thats so cute Joshua being all grown up:cloud9:

Heyy, hows the twins doing with weaning now?

Ive got a house full at weekend so I have so much housework to do this week, includes finish decorating the bathroom  Is that Elidhs first solid food except the rice? I was looking at some 100% veg yesterday, but the butternut squash had prumes in, and the peas one had broccolli in, and I read on here I think that broccolli isnt good for LOs? and I wasnt keen on giving him prunes lol so I may have to make my own veggies lol

George is being narky tonight, although right now he is holding the laptop wire sticking his tongue out and looks just like the chimps from earlier lol we're up in bed but he doesnt seem keen on sleeping lol its 2am!! He didnt get his rice today because I thought it was a bit late after we got back to give it to him, but now Im thinking he is missing not having it, he's fed 3 times on the breast already in just a short space of time but doesnt seem satisfied. He'll have to wait until breakfast now though its definitely too late for rice, might be a long night lol ha ha he really is a monkey everytime i turn to type he kicks me and laughs when he gets my attention lol

This is a photo from today, I thought it was cute :cloud9: and one of my very own monkey lol

I was unsubscrpibed. :( But caught up now. :D xx

How rude huh 24!

Todays plan then is not to skip a meal and Im going to try and cut out dairy, though its probably hidden in everything lol I'm just going to have to elliminate food types and see what the triggers are, yesterday all I had eaten before it started was cereal, so milk, day before was egg salad, and day before I had egg and milk lolol I honestly have no idea in the world how you ladies have managed to cope with it so long George is only 14 weeks, so I only had it about 10-11 weeks and Im already at my limit lol Though I was saying to my mum, if I was still over weight and eating crap all the time I wouldnt feel as I do right now because I'd only have myself to blame. Whats even more worse, I didnt get it on the days I ate the chocolate, but I do on the days I eat egg salad grrrrr lol

:happydance: my photoies arrived!!! Postie brought me lots of parcels today lol Joshua's school stuff also arrived and, I got a letter from the Welsh Assembley, they have a 'A tree for Every Child in Wales' scheme going, and Ive been sent the location of the tree planted for George :cloud9: its not very far away will definitely have to go visit it someday :)

Ive got to decide which of the proofs I want to buy now from the photo shoot, they all so cute lol (1st picture I have in full size I bought this at the time of the sitting) There are 10 pictures, but Ive just put a few up lol :cloud9:

The are fab new - I pick up Sam's pictures tomorrow. :D:D xx

Oh yay, cant wait to see them :) Once George is a little bigger I'll book in with a local photographer and get some what I call Venture style photo's they are amazing. These Pixi ones are lovely though but I need to ring them as the order form sets the prices much higher than instore prices, but she said I could pay instore prices as it was their mistake I didnt get them.

Thought I'd share too, lol

New, yeah diets should come with a health warning:dohh:

Those are some cute pics!

Thats a lovely idea about planting a tree for every kid in wales, wonder if they do a cactus for every kid here:haha:

Its stupid hot again, even at 8am the school run was unpleasant, dread to think how its going to be at 3 15 when we go fetch her.

Eilidh tried banana today, even more of a hit! Doing a little taste of fruit or veg in a mornin and rice for tea, so far so good:thumbup: New, not sure about broccoli, but Eilidh has had prune juice in the past lol.

24, welcome back:hugs:

I do it the other way round, rice in morning, taste test in afternoon lol though my friend just told me I should only introduce 1 new flavour a week :dohh: I tried George with a veg medley today, carrot swede and sweet potato in his rice but it was later than normal and as he started eating he got upset and it then brought up a lot of wind but wouldnt go back to his food then so not sure if it was the veg or the wind, I might try it again tomorrow, if same happens I will be at home and can make some fresh without the veg lol I wasnt home today so it was with veg or none lol How much rice does Elidh take? Do you use a set amount of ounces of milk? Im worried Im giving George too much, my friend said he should only have 1 ice cube size portion of solids, but george has more than that of rice

An ice cube of rice? Eilidh would be very pissed if thats all she got lol I'd say she had about a half a kids bowl of the cereal and equivalent of a stage 1 jar of fruit/veg. So far she's wolfed it all down:shrug: I did ask the GI doc and they said was fine as long as properly blended, they didn't say anything about 1 flavour a week, shouldn't imagine it would make much difference tbh they only getting one taste a day so would be pretty obvious if anything upset their tummies. Eilidh very much lets you know when shes full lol she just starts spitting it out (more so the cereal):haha:
