Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

in terms of formula milk. Follow on milk is designed to compliment weaning. It has more calories in it to hungry baby formula too so technically should keep a baby of 6 months more satisfied than the hungry one. The hungry formula has a element in it which makes the milk travel through the hut slower making them feel fuller for longer and s designed to delay weaning if the baby is really hungry. Hope that helps. Between my 2 boys we have tried them all bar stay down milk lol!

Wriggler, neighbours cant have you on account of your kids beimg too noisy so try not to worry too much.

Do you give a savoury puree like chicken amd veg and then a pudding? I dont think im filling william up

:hi: Charlotte

I offer Aaron a yoghurt after his puree (amount of a 4mth jar) n if he refuses then he's stuffed. William will let you know if he's full I.e. Lips clamp together, head shake, squirm away lol

Hey hun :D! How are you and Aaron doing?

Thats really helpful, thanks :) We never feed William until he wont take anymore like you are describing, maybe thats why he is always hungry? i'm flippin' starving the child lol! Tonight he had pasta and veg puree which i whizzed up last night and then a fruit pot but i only offered him half the fruit pot as i was worried i would give him belly ache, i think given half the chance, he would have taken it all!

:hi:

lol heyy Im not sure you could live IN the castle lol

:dohh: now forgotten what I read! Hmmmmmmm

mummy, George is feeling much better hun. He does have that cough but it seems to only get to him at night, and most times doesnt wake him so not to bad. he has a real bad snotty nose though bless him, but he just looks at me and grunts and stays still while I wipe it so huge improvement on yesterdays snot wiping across the face tricks he was up to lol I really hope Elidh starts to feel better soon hun :hugs: sorry the kiddies didnt nap long hun, hope they enjoy play out #2 lol I cant wait to try George in a swing, how cute!!

24, Sams plate is truely truely adorable! Never ever break it hun thats really special :cloud9:

Charlotte thanks so much for the milk tips! I found SMA follow on milk suitable for 6m+ so I bought a few cartons and we'll take it from there!

Brandi, thats really rude! You're better off without them hun! And I agree - keep off Anberlins hair!!! lol Looking forward to welcoming your friend :) Bless she a dainty little weight isnt she, although only 7oz lighter than George :dohh: lol

So I managed to get some stocking fillers for George today, but wow it was hard doing with without Joshua seeing lol I also managed to pick up Joshua a wii game (he asked santa for one, I forgot to get it) without Joshua noticing, and Joshua picked out a shirt & tie set and some shiney jeans for his Christmas outfit, hmm not what I would have picked but apparently Im not allowed to chose his clothes no more  lol

Charlotte George clamps his mouth shut when he has had enough. Its so cute, he kinda half pouts half sticks his tongue out but no way is he opening his mouth! lol

Noah used to drink SMA follow on milk and it did the trick, so hopefully it will work for George hun. If not, Cow and Gate follow on milk is very good, William gets on very well with that. Go you for getting those gifts without Joshua batting an eyelid, we shall all be calling on you when this lot get older for tips! hehe!
As for the whole clamping jaw shut thing, i shall try that with his solid feeds tomorrow and see how we get on

I apologise in advance for any dodgy messages in terms of spelling, spaces etc that i might post, i am getting used to posing from my new mobile lol as it allows me to keep and eye on the boys at the same time as having 5 mins to myself every now and again, i've already managed to post something on someones profile that was meant to be on here LOL!

lol wooops! Cool you got a new phone though!!

Im hoping george wont need too much formula I dont want him to lose interest in BFing.

Re solids, George typically has a portion the size of a 4mth jar for lunch, so if its home made its about the same volume, or he'll have 1 sandwich, or 1 slice of toast with 2-3 dessert spoons of beans/spagghetti etc He eats less homemade food than pureed jar food because he has to chew it and it takes longer to eat, therefore the brain has time to say its full, rather than shovelling down pureed food. He occassionally has a yoghurt after lunch. For dinner he has the equivillant of a full 7mth jar, but again its usually home made stuff, 2oz pot od potato, 2oz pot of veg and 1-2oz of meat with baby stock or a sauce on it. He will have a 4mth jar of pudding after (rice pudding etc), sometimes in the afternoon will snack on fruit, but he gets fruit for breakfast so he has it in his diet!

Cool thanks new, thats a lot more than what we are offering william so i think i may have a happier baby on my hands if i start giving him more to eat lol! I know Noah is only2 nearly 3 but i can't remember what we did with him and he weaned a lot later too, he was only just starting 4 month jars at about 7.5 months! he was a nightmare to wean where as william loves it!

We're doing great thanks hun:flower:

Are all you findings the LO's are getting head strong:shrug: I've got a very determined little boy who blanks everything & everyone to get to what he's after

We took Sam to a pottery painting place and then once its painted the pop it in their special oven and glaze it and then you go and pick it up. :D

Charlotte, we feed Sam until full too or he doesnt sleep well.

Just wrapped all Sam's presents, and what a lucky boy he is. xx

I've got myself a magners n black:cloud9: after unsuccessfully trying to get my sangria bottle open, and now have a very sore hand lol

Getting me hair done tomorrow:happydance: high lights n a trim of a few inches, I love the feel of freshly cut hair:cloud9:

:dohh::dohh: I've just realised I've missed my cousins new baby out:dohh: I did have a few outfits for 3-6months but I may have to give them to our old neighbours daughter when I eventually get to see them, as I bought 0-3mth n the baby was born oct but he's been Ill in and out of hospital so they'll be too little now! I've told hubby they can be for our next, I still get that look like he doesn't agree but puts on a face  in fear of upsetting me lol

And harvey, Sam is just like that too. :hissy: xx

Lol my job to do on my list of babyfy house is to tape the cable wires of the laptop and tv as I'll be a stick soon from jumping up to drag him off them:dohh: he also loves the biscuit tin:shrug: which sits beside my sofa:blush: n chases it round room, god help me if it opens up in mid roll

I dont think george is very head strong lol OH said he had a temper with him over something the other day, but its not something I have noticed. If i say take the phone off him and swop it for a toy, he just gets on with it, although he does pull some funny faces at certain things lol

Im thinking that I might make a start on wrapping the kids presents from santa  Ive done the under the tree ones but normally leave santa ones till Christmas eve, but something tells me Im going to be too tired lol

I wanted to wrap christmas eve but OH is working now. :( xx

Its usually really lovely, but Im tried by this hour these days so if I leave it I fear i will regret it pmsl plus I have NO IDEA what Ive bought Joshua and if he has enough or not :dohh:

If Aaron doesn't want a cuddle he will actually push your hands away, hubby suffocates him n he doesn't like it (tight cuddle I mean). If I swap a toy or my phone he will actually follow where your hand went and go to get it back. This kid does not miss a trick.

I had the Rose tin on the floor yesterday n he lunged into mid air to literally dive in it, good job I had tight hold of him! He pick up a sweet n I pulled him back up, and then he done it again:dohh:

I'm such a bad mummy, i haven't wrapped williams presents... he has them in his personalised santa sack as he wont want to unwrap then probably and if noah un wraps them he will probably think they are his and it will cause a hysterical fit of a tantrum. He has a few wrapped up ones but most of them are just sat in there waiting for him to play with.

William has a temper when he doesn't get his own way he cries until his face goes purple! But at the moment its not over toys or having things taken off him. He just wants to be picked up and walked around all the time and will scream blue murder if you leave the room to do something and leave him in the lounge. Its the firey read head in him lol

New I'd definitely start wrapping, you never know what may crop up:shrug::thumbup:

Ha ha I'm thinking that new, I cant for the life of me remember what ive bought Aaron, I'm not too worried as he's too small to notice, but Joshua sure will:winkwink:
