Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Wiggler, he starts conking mid afternoon right? If it was me I'd be making him stay up, whatever it took (within reason obviously) to get it to a point of say 7pm bed. My lot go down at 7 and up between 5 30 and 6am but thats an ok wake up time for us.:flower:

Lol yeah people here moan its winter and cold and me being scottish, I'm out in t shirt lol, its late 70s I believe atm, thats hot! Thats brilliant the shops getting busy:happydance: Lol at the curry, he was protesting too much:haha:

Outing was fun, off again in an hour so so to get my eldest then heading out to the store later and maybe mcdinner:winkwink:

Whats Aaron upto atm?

Could you start taking him out for the whole afternoon, from after lunch until dinner time? Park, then trains, then the shop, home for dinner, bath, story bed? He wouldnt even have time to notice wanting a nap, maybe its more boredom when hes at home? xx

Got hubby to take me (and the girls, of course) out for coffee and a drive- which helped loads- and then Aaron is coming in a bit to stay for a few days which is always wonderful :cloud9: My son and I get along so well that we'll stay up all night talking and watching Dexter or Dr Who marathons=- Hubby has to come remind me to get some sleep! lol- we've been like this for ages, too, since he was about 12?

Wiggler- Can the HA you've been working with write a recommendation to move as well?

About 50% of the time I manage to get him to stay awake, but sometimes he just conks out and is dead to the world for an hour (even tried tipping water on him, I'm a meanie :haha:) He goes to bed at 7pm ever night.

I feel so gross, typical of Dylan to share his lurgy with me :haha: OH has the whole weekend off so I think he is going to take the kids out for a few hours tomorrow so I can have a nap.

Bethanys tooth STILL isn't through!!! ARGH

24 that doesn't work, he just lays down and goes to sleep or asks for a hug then falls asleep when we are out  That boy loves his sleep, just at the wrong times

Heyy - The woman will be back in touch soon so I will be asking her then, she should be able to, they won't do it like last time with the priority transfer thingg though as we don't want a flat again.

I wish OH earned more, then we could get out of social housing.

Oh gosh - He's so stubborn!! :hissy::rofl:

Would HB not top up a private rent for you anyway? We would be entitled to HB if I didnt go back to work. xx

yea they would top it up, but rent is so sky high round here that with fees and deposit its out of our price range (£995 PCM on average and they want 6 weeks rent as a deposit and then a month up front), especially if when the tenancy is up for renewal they decide to sell up or something.

I'm trying to decide what to do when I do a from home/night course, I adore archaeology, but jobs in museums are pretty hard to get, same for library work which puts me off, arcitecture is another passion of mine but the course fees are too high, I also have a passion for science and was thinking of possibly doing something to do with that? I don't even care if I get qualified and then have to stack shelves in a supermarket, as long as I know there is a possibility that I can get a job that I would love in the future.

Glad you got out heyy, bet you feel like a new woman! Your aaron sounds like a really cool guy (anyone who loves dr who is cool:happydance:)

Maybe try a few courses and see what suits? Hope you get a house wiggler:hugs: Lol yes kids do like to share lurgys:dohh:

Milos, doesnt Milo have therapy today? Hope it went well!:flower:

Accidentally over cooked the yams for lunch :dohh: Anyone know how to make sweet potato pie? :haha:

https://allrecipes.com/recipe/sweet-potato-pie-i/

And what are yams?

heyy- hope you get to enjoy yourself! i'm like Mummy, one or more days stuck inside and i start to feel crazy. i enjoy grocery shopping. i get to get out of the house! :haha: i'm hoping me and OH can take a vacation in May just ourselves

Mummy- yes he did! he started crying when his therapist came out to the waiting room to get him. today was his first day going back without me. he said he cried twice, but they put him on the OT swing for 10 mins and he started to open up a little more. he even prompted the therapist to help him with a toy he couldn't do (took his hand and put it towards the toy). his next appt is on Wednesday. hopefully he'll be a little better with the crying next time.

oh and milo was up from 5pm yesterday to 5am! and then slept until 9am. of course it took me forevre to fall asleep, so i got maybe a 45 minute nap between all of Ava's stirring in her sleep. she's been so clingy all day and cries everytime i try to set her down :dohh:

Eek, some bloke (apparently lives opposite) just went nuts and smashed the communal light outside our front doors. I hope when I move I live near normal people

wow, Wiggler. :argh: our neighborhood (houses) used to be pretty bad with violence. i've witnessed beatings, bar fights and drive-bys

Evening all!!

Heyy so glad you got to go out for a bit and recharge your batteries, you sound like you're almost trapped there :hugs: Hope you have an awesome tme with Aaron over the next few days  Dexter is cool!!! I only recently learnt his sister is his wife :dohh: Hope he does another series now he is well again :)

Harvey thanks for my homework!! lol makes it so much easier

Wiggler hope you get Dylans sleep sorted hun! It must be so frustrating for everyone!

Mummy are you packed yet?

Milos sounds like Milo made some progress, I hope he is better with the crying next time :hugs:

I wonder why Lisa posts in baby and not here, :( I love seeing her pictures of Daniel on FB he is such a beautiful baby :cloud9: I dont think WIld is online atm, if she is I think BnB is far from her mind. What about Wud? Has she given her address, and meow?? Maybe she is sorting out her new house, hope so but Im sure she'd be interested!! Will try to think of more of the clan that stay here, shame hopeful and them drifted off!

I had a wee bit of a stressful day, bellowing down the fast lane of the motorway and my car goes up in smoke :dohh: gets to the sort of hard shoulder, but this happened right where another motorway joined the one I was on, so there I was smoking car, p*ssing down rain and me and the boys on a grass verge with cars doing 70mph either side of us waiting for breakdown rescue arghhhhh.... after 40 minutes a police patrol car did spot us and stop.. gave me a neon yellow poncho to keep me dry (im already p*ss wet through officer!) then said the motorway cameras had us in view so they'll keep an eye on us then drove off!!! They soooo should have stayed with us until breakdown arrived I have a baby ffs :dohh: Wont know until over the weekend if the car is actually ok, but the breakdown spent an hour with it and seems to think its ok and no real damage was done I turned the engine off quickly and saved any long lasting damage, fingers crossed!

BUT... I used George's fleece blankets from his moses basket to cover the kids while we were waiting, so they got wet and muddy on the grass, then Joshua put them back in the basket and I didnt realise so then the basket sheets got muddy and wet soooooo no bed for little man.... so dad has got the travel cot out of the loft and george is asleep in a big boy cot!!! Arghhhh... bless him! Mum said I can take this home with me and use it until I can afford a cot, and 'get rid of the damm moses basket' to use her words lol

How is everyone?

aww new, that really isn't what you need right now, I hope the car is OK, and WTG George in his big boy bed!
