Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

Go Eilidh! Aww bless her she is coming on so fast now! Go over her lazy phase I see :haha: :happydance:

Heyy - sounds as if your girlies are bottomless pits!

Harvey - you are not being unreasonable, if she chooses a holiday with her mates over Aarons party then so be it, don't rearrange, its Aarons big day and although he won't remmeber it you will always have fond memories of it, we only do small parties with close famiy and friends invited, but for us it has to be on the day, its more special that way.

Milos - :hugs:

When do you stop putting babies milk in their bottles and use a sippy cup? Aaron has water in his sippy cup with his meals, but I still use his bottles for milk

we will be switching over day time milk into a sippy next week once we are all over the lurgy. She loves her sippy, so hopefully there will be no problems swicthing x x x

I'm the same, got to celebrate on the day or else it doesn't feel as special. I've never had birthdays
party's at event places, only family house which I'd rather have, or we've gone somewhere as a treat
but after a home birthday party!

I'm going to ask someone to take random photos as I love photos which aren't posed for, but I will also take my own of Aaron blowing his candle :cloud9: and with his presents :cloud9:

What's your day been like wiggler? Were the kids in a lovely mood?

Ooh I never thought about starting with his daytime milk in his sippy:dohh: Im just scared he drinks a lot of milk at once (quicker) then he may be sick, cos I know if I down milk quick I feel

at Dylans parties we took pics randomly and posed, and got others to do the same, and we ended up with some lovely shots. :cloud9: I never had parties growing up but birthdays were always special as we had family and family friends around.

day has been okiesh, lot of pain in my knee from waking on the sofa in an awkward position, kids still have the lurgy so been unhappy, but not as bad as the past few days, Dylans voice is coming back after a week of croakiness so has been talking a lot, Bethany has discovered that is she pulles the PS3/BT vision box out there are squillions of wires to play with :haha: They have both been very cuddly, Bethany has napped better today, she had 2 naps for the first time in a week, and Dylan has been practicing his speech, he said a few 4 word sentences today, most wouldn't be understood by anyone outside of the family due to his speech delay, but he is coming on so well. We spend about an hour or so a day practicing speech and the nursery do it too with a speech therapist.

Oh and Dylan drew his first proper picture instead of scribbles!!!! He drew a train! I'm gonna show you gals a piccy tomorrow, but this time yesterday he was only scribbling everywhere and today he drew a train :cloud9:

He will learn to pace himself, going from a bottle to sippy is a big thing, if he ends up distressed then stick with bottles for 2-4 weeks before trying again :hugs:

I'll give it a go tomorrow:thumbup: when he drinks his water I have to take it from him after having sips, or else he'll drink it all before his food is finished and be full up on water

I know, in some ways he like a diferent boy, he is even reacting differently to OH, it still isn't brilliant, but he is doing so well, and the past 2 nights he woke at 6am - long may it continue!!!!

Aaron might reject the sippy with milk in, he is used to milk in bottles and water in sippy, he will get used to it though x x x

Aww go dylan:happydance: Thats brilliant he's coming on so well with his speech, cant wait to see the train piccy:flower:

Good luck with the sippy cup:thumbup:

Hehe I was actually sat there with my mouth hanging open, he doesnt draw often (he gets us to for him :haha:) and when he does he just scribbles, but he drew the engine, wheels and the whistle and the steam!!

harvey- i've put Ava's formula in a sippy a couple times. but it comes out too fast for her. i dont think she's ready for a sippy yet :nope: and she wont drink it unless she's laying back

I'll give it a go and let you's know how it goes, if he isn't happy with it I'll stop and try again. I might start with his afternoon bottle when he's most awake as I think he takes comfort from his bottles!

I'm not planning on putting milk in the sippy until we start the transition to real milk- formula in the bottle only, milk in the sippy- for now, just water

I do a big 1, 5, 10, 13, and 16 party- and 21 :haha: (Took my godson out to my favorite bar and got him properly hammered! Can't wait for Aaron, he won't know what hit him! ) The problem I'm having is wheterh to have it the Sunday before or the Sunday after- I wanted it the Sunday before as that is my 20 year high school reunion weekend and will have loads of friends in from out of town- especially my girl friend Charlotte, it's really important to me that she be there, I did name one of my babies after her after all! However, I have found out that the reunion weekend is EASTER weekend and that Sunday is, well, Easter. But if I have it the following weekend, Charlotte can't come. Still don't know what to do. Hubby has suggested we buy Charlotte a ticket to come back the next weekend, but I don't think we'll be able to swing that- I looked into them and it would be around $300.

I am going to a gf this week to practice making cake pops for their birthday! :happydance: Who knows, we may need to "practice" a few times before their birthday

Wigglr- I bet he'll come along quickly being in school  Can't wait to see the drawing!

:cloud9: made the decision to get full swing back into my crafting to help this funk I've been in- Having so much fun today! This is what I am working on ATM

I dont want to confuse Aaron with his sippy cup:shrug: god I didn't know there was so many decisions to make

I'd have it Easter Sunday, but then again I dont celebrate it in church etc just like eating the chocolate:blush:

What are cake pops:shrug:

Ava likes to try and chew on the spout of milo's sippy. so i thought she would be interested in hers. but she doesn't get the concept of leaning her head back to drink while sitting. i dont give her juice or water so i dont really have a need for one yet

I would have thought it was a bit early to ditch the bottle  Its a comfort as well as a source of the food, so long as you never put juice in the bottle (and personally Id not put water in either).

Mummy that is so awesome to come on and learn of Elidhs crawling :happydance: !!!! And after a battery :haha: I think she is going to be a proper daddys girl :cloud9: Now you said George would be days behind her so watch this space!!! lol

Harvey glad you had a great night, sorry about your feet!! As for parties, Joshua has always had his birthday party on the day of his birthday, when its a week day he has the party after school. For his first birthday I had a few friends and immediate family round and we had a BBQ... it has NEVER rained on Joshua's birthday, he's had almost all his parties out doors in one place or another! You do what ever feels right for you hun, as for SD, tough! Sorry, she wouldnt halt her birthday celebrations, why should Aaron xx

Heyy sounds like you have a nice week ahead :cloud9: lol @ your mam cancelling ... maybe she is spying BnB and cancelled on you before you cancelled on her :haha: You are so talented in textiles! Cant wait to see the tops!! Hope the girlies have a more settled day and night with a nice full tummy!!

:hi: Charlotte!! George is on peggy #6 lol they just keep springing up, he's had 4 new ones this week pmsl soooooooooooooo glad they not hurting I think that could have be hellish! lol Hope William is well and Noah, hope they getting over the lurgy xxxx

Wiggler cant wait to see Dylans train! Glad the kids are starting to feel better!! Your neighbours must be happy at 6am wake ups! thats a massive improvement, long may it continue!

George has a new cot :happydance: although i just tape measured my bedroom and erm I have NO idea how Im going to make it fit in here, I really dont want him in Joshua's room, not yet any way. Where there is a will there is a way :haha: In my head I pictured turning my bed round, but my bed frame is 182cm long and the room is only 175cm :dohh: and the alcove which was option 2 is only 105cm wide and the cot is 122cm .. double :dohh: :dohh: :haha: oh well, least I got a cot lol no more moses basket!!!

He is still poorly sick, but shhhhh he is sleeping which is more than he did last night!!!

Most of our friends/family don't do the church thing for Easter, either- but they do family things- big dinner, egg hunts, etc...
