Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

lol I told OH last night that you were all putting me top to be pregnant first.. his reply.. 'would the boys like a baby brother or sister'... not funny lol

George is trying to feed and sleep here but I got heyfever bad today and everytime i sneeze i scare him awake, oops!

He was so clingy last night, would only sleep if he was on me. Even when in a deep sleep if i moved his hand from me or whatever he had wrapped round me he woke and cried. He had his hands gripping my top all night bless him. Needless to say he didnt sleep in his hammock last night! lol His bowels are still ooose but his sickness seems a little better, no way is he bringing up enough to equate to a full feed which is better before it was a concerningly lot.

Finally caught up in some pages. Luke seems to be going through some of the same things as the others. He has some red spots on his cheeks and his skin is still peeling on his arms and legs. He has a minor diaper rash, which I'm trying to determine the source. It could be the diaper (we use seventh generation which shouldn't be irritating), wetness, something in the breastmilk, or a yeast infection (which could be caused by the antibiotic I had to take after the c section). Thankfully, he doesn't seem too bothered by it yet.

 new your OH is funny. Is he serious though?

Bizy:hugs: Hope little Luke gets rid of his diaper rash soon.

Stupid party rave again last night, hubby called the cops again and this time they caught them:happydance: Cue silence!

Seems like alot of the babies are abit spotty at the moment. :hugs: Sam's are still bad, but better since it is less hot....

Sam has had a mega nap this afternoon, which has been much needed, however he is starting to grumble in his sleep now, so no doubt will be back demanding food soon. :D

We went to a BnB meet this morning, but had to cut it short as OH locked himself out. Although just after we got home we had an explosive poo that leaked out Sam's clothes, so home at the right time really, for Daddy to change it!! You can tell the days I can pump the most as Sam has true BF poo, just like todays, so as yucky as it is, I like it!! :p

Am feeling very emotional and keep crying today as OH back to work on tuesday.... Having a baby was my life dream, and we spent nine months looking forward to OH's time off and now its over, and I don't want it to be. :( xx

i dont really care if OH is serious lol, we got 3 gorgeous boys between us, unless he is cooking the 4th we not having another lol

Bizy could be his urine causing the nappy rash, BF babies have more concentrated urine, and a good barrier cream will have it in control quickly.

24 :hugs: Does DH work long hours? Must be hard on both of you him going back to work. Glad Sams spots are a little better! Hope you enjoyed the BnB meet, good timing to getting home though lol BF poops are a bit explosive huh lol

I bumped into my MW today she was out on her rounds, was nice to see her and I asked her about Georges sickness and poops she said it all sounds ok, BM can cause yellow sick so long as its not a greeny colour, and also BM can cause more sickness as they take it much faster and often more than they need (explains why his sickness is worse when he feeds from the left because my milk flows a lot faster that side lol), and his poops seem normal for BF babies, although she said keep an eye on them. she said he looks a lot bigger, so thats reassuring for him being weighed this week lol

24:hugs: you'll get the hang of looking after Sam while DH is at work and you'll treasure the days off even more! :haha: at Sam exploding for hubby, great timing!

He works so much, and is so often late home which sucks!! I'm really going to work on our routine though, and part of me is looking forward to getting back to normal, its just letting go of the last little bit of the tiny newborn first weeks, and I'm really struggling as I have just loved it so much - I'm a soppy moo!!

Glad you saw your MW again new, I'd love to see mine, well the one who delivered Sam, I can't explain why, I just so so want to, and I didn't when I dropped my present off in the end. :( xx

oh 24 hun, there's lots of the newborn stuff left yet hun! And after that there's loads of other amazing stuff to treasure. It is really hard watching them grow up though, think we all can understand your feelings :hugs:

I have 26 bottles worth of breast milk stored now. Guess I'll be ready for a date night or two in the upcoming months. 18lbs down now :happydance: still have a lot to go though ;) Liam was up ALL night. Seriously, how can a newborn get away with that? I suppose colic helps but still, you think he would need a nap or two. I got a bit spoiled though because my husband stayed up with him and just watched sports and surfed the internet on his phone. I just woke up for the most part to feed every 2 hours.

:hugs: 24 I feel the same. It hasn't even been 2 weeks and I still get emotional that this stage is going by far to fast. I'm also sad that in a little over a week my hubby will be back to work, we've waited so long for this 3 week vacation as a family. Won't get one this long again until we have another.

New- glad your midwife gave you some reassurance.

Bizy- we used vaseline on Connor's bum at night and he never had a diaper rash until he was over the age of one. That was from a really nasty poop problem though.

Okies, so Im just ranting out loud here, but as mums someone tell me Im not being too over protective! Joshua was at the park, with a key to the house and a mobile phone and the park is 6 houses up from our house. because of a house I cant see Joshua but I can see the park from the house, and he has to come home every 20 minutes to 'check-in'. This i feel is more than enough rope and freedom for an 8 year old (sometimes i worry its too much!) Anyways, Joshua comes back and tells me he is playing with 3 lads off the street, nice lads, so i said ok, dont play on your own so come home if they come home. 10 minutes later I got a phone call from Joshua, i didnt answer as i was in another room, so he came straight home, and informed me the boys had gone home but another friend was there could he stay with him. this boy is also 8 years old, a good lad, but he lives almost 20 minutes away! His mum has let him play out on his bike, and he has brought himself down from home to our street. so I called her up, thought she'd want to know he was so far away from home, Id go ballistic if it was Joshua he isnt allowed off the street! anyway she said oh thats ok, he knows his way back. Its gone 6pm, and he is a good 20 minute ride away from his home! I cant believe she was so ok about it. I feel so bad knowing he had to go home by himself when I pulled Joshua in at 6pm (he isnt allowed out on his own after 5.30pm but I gave him a bit longer as no older kids were on the park and he was with 3 friends). Am i over protective or is that way to far for an 8 year old to be without a guardian??

Eeeek, I wouldn't let Sam do that!! :o

Anyone know how long child benefit takes to process? :D xx

There is no way I'd let my 8 year old out of our neighborhood let alone 20 minutes away from our house. That is crazy.

Bloody hell new, I wouldn't allow that either. My sister used to let her son play outside on his own when he was 2 :nope:

Does everyone elses LO's have sleepy periods? Sam is usually awake all day except cat naps, but has now been asleep since about 2.30 and I'm worried something is wrong, as its so unusual!! xx

Bethany is having a sleepy day too, I think she is gearing up for a growth spurt. Eek!

That makes me feel abit better, thanks wiggler!! Its so hard to know how they are feeling when they can't say anything!! xx

George has slept nearly all day! Only woke for feeds, and that wasnt many during the day. he is fast asleep just now after a good feed, only had a 30 minute awake time this morning and maybe 40-50 minutes this evening before his feed.
