Im surprised the papers have anything else to comment on apart from the NOTW scandel!! I know nothing else has been on the news!

News of the world scandel - wiggler dont tell me you have escaped hearing about this? Apparently they have been phone hacking - but not public figures this time, but victims. First to come out was Millie Dowler (sp) - they hacked into her mobile when she was missing (or her parents??), then it was those 2 young girls murdered a few years back, NOTW hacked into their parents calls, and most recently relatives of the London bombings 7years ago. They also looking into the McCanns records, they may have been hacked too!! I dont get much news, unless OH is here then I get Sky news or Sky Sports news, but even I havent managed to miss this its everywhere. there is going to be arrests!

new/24- I think the napping in the day is to do with the 45 minute sleep cycle thing. Apparently babies get into a lighter sleep after 45 minutes of deep sleep and if they aren't good at sleeping/settling etc they will wake up instead of going into another sleep cycle. Apparently day sleep is very different to night sleep. Well thats what i've read anyway

Josh finally did a poo. It stank of rotting fish, it was absolutely humming! Plus it was very sticky, almost like the first poo he did after he was born. Hopefully we'll be back onto the pooing everyday now.

DH is out at a gig and i'm home alone for the first evening with Josh. He does not want to go to sleep lol He's been wriggling and chatting for about an hour and half now up in his room. I can hear him over the monitor!

I dont know how they did it, but it really is awful, I heard somewhere they deleted texts or something off Millies phone when she was missing before they knew she was murdered. That might not be fact, but i heard something like that its when it first came out so i wasnt paying any attention but now seems to be all you hear about!

yay glad Josh has pooped!!! at the smell though!!

George is very off sorts this evening. Woke up earlier with a really weird cry, nothing Ive heard him do before. then he released loads of wind - so thought aha thats the problem! But he is still really off ish, not fussy, not crying, not drawing his knees. He is just floppy and lethargic and looks really sorry for himself. Ive checked his temp - normal, checked for any physical changes (rash etc) nothing he is just realy flat He's been so good all day and was perfectly fine until he took a nap and woke up midnap! - must say Im still not convinced he isnt teething - very drooly and still has a reddish cheek! maybe I should have gone to baby clinic today, but it really hasnt bothered him at all all morning.

Can the HV assist with BF atall? Despite expressing 4/5 times a day now my milk is disappearing, and I am desperate to get Sam's latch right but missed BF group today due to my stomach and dont want to wait a week. xx

Your HV should be able to help hun, or she should be able to put you in touch with a BFing person who can come to the house (forgot what they called). Whats up with your stomach hun? have I missed some posts? Hope you're ok!!

George has fallen asleep on my lap but is making a weird noise! Im definitely not leaving him anywhere on his own tonight, he'll be staying close xxx

Thanks new - I was watching a youtube video on latching earlier, and have decided my nippled look nothing like any of those in the videos/pictures and instead are just flat, so maybe this is our problem?! The guilt is eating me up inside still.

Just had an upset stomach last night, but on the mend now. xx

24- Do you pump in the night at all? Before i had Josh i looked into exclusively expressing and apparently pumping in the early hours of the morning 4/5am helps to up your supply and you can get more. I read somewhere that hormone levels are highest at that time (not sure if hormone is the right word but its something like that!)

I dont pump at night meow, I stopped when OH went back to work as I was too tired, but perhaps I should start it up again now. Thank you. xx

Dont quote me because Im learning as I go but I think you can buy things to help the nipples because some ladies have inverted nipples etc and it helps sort it out, maybe thats what the nipple shields are for? I know sometimes mine appear really flat, and george gets really annoyed and head butts me and licks the nipple and throws his head around, I think the stimulation helps, so maybe you could stimulate the nipple and hand express a few drops before trying to latch? Maybe Sam isnt keen on doing the hard bit, but if its ready for him then he may latch on better. - glad you feeling better hun xxx

George has fallen asleep on the V cushion which I moved off my knee to the sofa next to me and he looks like he is sleeping on the moon he still making the funny noise though, bless him.

24/7 if your nips are flat have you tried nipple shields? they may help, also expressing first to get the milk flowing then getting him to latch may help. Has he been checked for tongue/lip tie?

I agree with Meow, apparently for exclusive expressig you need to be expressing every 2-3 hours roiund the clock, inc nights. I hope you get it all sorted hun

24, yeah defo pump during the night too, try every 3 hours round the clock but you may need to do it every 2 hours

I always express before trying him but he usually just gives me a look for disgust and moves his head out the way. I feel upset its gone so wrong, and I so want to get it right when we have another baby, and already worry it will go wrong again then too.

Will give expressing in the night tonight a go, although I have no idea how, I feel like a zombie!! xx
