Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

So many food fussy mummies on here :haha: *looks at harvey and new*

Spinach lasagne sounds divine!

Me:shrug: I just hate most veg lol. I enjoy most other food:thumbup: not like new who only likes a handful of any foods :haha:

New was your mam a really bad cook :rofl:

But veggies are delish if you prepare them right, they are a bit bland on their own!

I wish I had someone who cooked meals with veg then I'd try them but i just think I'd be wasting money buying veg that I didn't know how to cook and get the best out of them! I need to learn for aarons sake:winkwink:

I want to try aaron on veg recipes like:

cauliflower & cheese sauce
Spinach lasagne

Any ideas welcome:thumbup:

Started a new journal today, and opened up a brand new savings account that can only be used for deposits. $20 in it so far, another $250 will be added next Tuesday. $270 down, $5730 to go!

Are these things that Aaron can eat? I was thinking if I prepared things for Aaron then I could taste them aswell:thumbup:

Sorry ran away to feed the monsters, spinach lasagne is the biggest hit here. Its mince in a tomato sauce, add spinach then put over lasagne sheets add some ricotta cheese then a white sauce on top, then chedder:cloud9: They put away huge amounts!

Harvey:hugs: Families can be minefields, you just have to make the most of who you have and love:hugs: Also you can make like my lot who have adopted a grandad:haha:
Enjoy a relaxing evening hun:hugs:

I love veggies, cover em with salt though lol so probably not so healthy:dohh:

new:hugs: Frejas dad is just the same. Also for worst family, Its ON :ninja:

Brandi, you're very lucky to be in a financial position to save so much!:flower:

Ooh wiggler, I made the kids curried carrot sandwiches for lunch. Shred carrots, bit of cream cheese, pinch of curry powder and a few raisons. Sounds gross but the kids enjoy it!

harvey - yea, with the curried carrot soup just use a low salt stock :D or make your own. Simmer veg peelings for a few hours, sieve into a bowl then your set :D

The celery sticks are my fave snack :cloud9: apple and celery go so well together, celery is minging on its own.

bethany loves her veg, especially lightly steamed baby corn on its own, she even had raw spring onions once, she HATED that the second time though :haha: avacado is normally a hit with babies.

She LOVED it the first time, I have never seen her eat anything so fast, we tried again a few days later and there were HUGE tears, we had to fish it all out of her mouth, poor lovey :(

mummy- i'm not sure yet how they will test this time  last time they used ADOS Module 1 that consisted of bubbles and free play

well the doctor says that Ava indeed has GERD with occassional esophogus(sp?) irritation. Which is probably contributing to her gagging on foods and what seems like low appetite. They put in an order for some medicine.

the scale said 15.2  but i dont think that's possible :nope: so maybe she's 16.2 lol.

a video of her improving on walking  but still wobbly

Shes doing so good with her walking:happydance:

Whats meds is she getting hun? With my older two they had so many problems with that, they got ranitidine, domperidone and gaviscon, which did help but it lingered until about 18m. Do you prop her crib at all? No she sleeps with you doesnt she sorry, erm maybe tip the top of your bed somehow so its on an incline? Lots of bibs! Dont worry about the scale hun, they can be so out between different places, we've been caught out a lot!

Did you get a huge questionaire thing to fill out for Milo too? Cant remember the name of the one I filled for Ruaridh but it was massive lol.

Not sure what her prognosis means:hugs:

Baked Chicken and Zucchini for supper tonight. I dropped in to the midwife office today to say Hello, and there were three brand new babies. Oh my god, my uterus ached so badly.

There was a nEwborn on the news tonight and she was crying and I said to hubby that I never saw Aaron cry when he was new-born, just one laid back little boy lol

Right now, at $250 a month, I'm looking at 23 months to Reversal. If I throw in $1000 when I get my tax return, it'll shave it down to 19 months. Either way, it's looking like 2 years to Reversal.

Harvey Anja was just like that, she never cried the whole time she was in NICU and for a good couple weeks after! When she did eventually cry we had no idea what it was:dohh::haha:

The 12 days I was in hospital I was in and out of special care ward for Aaron every 2-3 hours 24/7, and I never heard any of the babies cry in the incubators:shrug: I thought Aaron would as he was only in a glass cot, but I think when they aren't well they are quiet.

Maybe they learn in nicu that they won't be fussed over every 5 mins so they are more chilled out:shrug:

I've got to go back to see aarons special care doc on the 7 feb, he said I cancel if I'm happy with Aaron but I want the consultant to check him over and confirm he's happy with his well being, and I want to ask how ill Aaron was at birth, as I was like a zombie whilst in hospital and didn't take everything in, only the bad bits.
