Mayhem Babies! May 2011 mummies and babies

:haha:

I have someone coming in three hours for a daycare interview. Why am I not motivated to clean?

:dohh: ffs brandi its not showing your reply

and I cant see yours or Heidi's replies on our FB page  stooopid pooter!!!!

Elle was a nightmare all night to keep asleep- Finally gave up and got up at 3:45 when she called out and from the crib her sister screeched an answer :dohh: - So it's 5:30 in the blinkin morning and we've already been up for almost 2 hours- had play time with hats on the bed with mom (I have about 20 baby hats they were "trying on" :haha: ) had snuggles with dad, had a poosplotion of the chemical weapons variety, and are now nicely settled in front of Baby Einstein- those of you who do not employ Baby Einstein, I highly recommend it- it's like crack for babies!

Question for the co-sleeping mamas... What do you do with your LO when you have to go pee in the middle of the night? I had to pee from about 2 am on but couldn't get up for fear of waking princess Elle

Wiggler- I hope you guys feel better soon, hon

We have two body pillows. I put one on the edge of my side of the bed, and Mike works wel for the other side.

I just get up and pee, if George is awake I tell him I'll be 2 minutes just going pee pee and he lies there quietly, if he is asleep he doesnt usually stir hun xxxx

Why you having a daycare interview Brandi?

Really sorry you been up half the night witht he girls :( Are they just not tired or teething??? You must be exhausted! Im not sure baby Einstein would be a good idea here, George is already so still any more transfixing and he might stay like that :haha:

For the second ever time since we started potty training Dylan did a poopie on the toilet!!!! :happydance:

Bethany is still a grump and that darn tooth still isn't through, I just managed to get her down for a nap, Dylan is laying on the floor (apparently laying on the sofa with mummy is "no good" :haha:) talking to his trains :haha:

I managed to have a healthy lunch, a ham sarnie, a small bit of cheese and half an apple, followed by a nice cup of tea. Feeling a bit better with somme food in me but still not great, I'm so glad the kids are relaxing/napping now cos I seriously have no energy :( x x x

 I need anything I can get to slow these two down!
I don't think telling them I'll be back in two minutes would work :nope: Just yesterday morning Elle got herself jammed between the mattress and the wall and I was RIGHT THERE ffs!
I have a body pillow, king sized pillow, leg wedge, 2 regular pillows, a small squish, a large squish, and a microbead full size pillow- and at least one baba, sometimes two- it's no wonder Erik sleeps on the couch! :haha:

how is there room for anyone with all them pillows? lol I have a summer tog duvet which I have tucked down the side of the bedframe nearest the wall to stop him going down there, not that it was in any way big enough but safety first! he has a baby pillow on the bed, and he just lies there lol I think its kinda cute, I move he moans, I say just going peepee 2 minutes, and he looks like he totally understands and rests, and no noise just waits for me to come back :cloud9:

You're going to look after other peoples kids you mean? Is it that easy over there?

Yup. If the family decides to go with me, then I'm going to cancel my interview tomorrow. I have an interview with an agency tomorrow afternoon about doing licensed, but if I can reopen without the assistance of an agency, that'll be better.

I have a normal double bed not sure if thats the same as either of them lol but hope its not too much of a downsize! You'll need to kick some pillows out

OMG you'd not hear of that happening here! Do you need reports to stay you have been cleared of criminal convictions? Or have your house measured so you know how many children you can have at any one time etc? Is there not a governing body that needs to certify you are fit to work with kids before you can run a daycare business?

Heyy, thats one full bed! Erm co sleeping, I dont as I have epilepsy but I have been known to send a kid out to go sleep with hubby on an airbed in the lounge, does that count?:haha: Eilidh likes pocoyo, think thats spelt right. Her sister screeching an answer  Sorry hun! They are soooo cute! You've got to be knackered though hun, really hope you get a nap, failing that a decent coffee:hugs:

Wiggler, Ah yes its not a break if you have to hang around town! :hugs:Hope you feel better tomorrow hun. When can he start a closer local school? Go Bethany exploring:cloud9: Go Dylan pooping in the toilet:happydance:

New, yay for Sttn:happydance: Sorry he's not better yet though hun, plenty of snuggles will make him feel better:hugs: Bad pooter:growlmad:

Brandi, good luck with the interview!

Going to a moms group again today, Eilidh off to bully other babies:dohh:  Its brilliant for Ruaridh and Anja, they get to play with loads of kids their age for about 2 1/2 hours and mummy gets a break:haha: Frejas going to go to work with our friend who had the stroke, he suggessted it and will be interesting to see how it goes! Eilidh stinks

OMG Im watching 'Farewell becky' from last night and I am sobbing!!! Like chiked up tears rolling sobs!

That depends.

Licensed daycares are regulated and need to pay for a license from the government. They are required by law to have a record check, CPR, and have occasional dropins, etc. They are also required to provide receipts, and can claim grocery, and bill expenses on their taxes.

Unlicensed can decide whether they want to provide receipts or not. If they do, they can claim the above on taxes, if not, they can't. They do not need to be regulated, nor have record checks.

However, most parents require a record check at the interview and CPR, and will request receipts. I ALWAYS provide an updated record check, have up-to-date CPR/First Aid, and have the parents sign a contract outlining the services I provide and what I expect from them, and stuff like that.

Whether unlicensed or licensed, a daycare CANNOT have more than 5 kids, plus their own, in the home. And the numbers are outline a specific way depending on full/part-time, and ages. Because of Anberlin's age, I can only take on one child under the age of 2, but can have 4 over. It gets kind of complicated, lol

Wow I am truely shocked it is so easy to set up daycare there!

And i think they could have made that 'farewell becky' programme longer... Im such a hormonal sap :haha:

It can be scary, but I make sure I have everything outlined for it. I took a Home Daycare Business course through the local Early Years Centre, so I always show that Certificate of Completion. I've been having trouble reopening, probably because of the time of year, so I thought I'd try an agency. If this family decides to go with me, then I'll cancel the Agency interview tomorrow.

Watch this clip, Mummy (And all of you who use the word pooter! :haha: )
